I'm watching the wind
Looking for you
I listen for your voice
In the wind
Day after day
I'm searching and hoping
When will it bring you to me?

I'm watching the wind
On the sidewalks
As it moves along
Past the shops
I'm straining to hear
When it swirls in the street
When will it bring you to me

I'm watching the wind
At sunrise
When the light makes shapes
On the wall
I dream of your face
When a breeze stirs the drapes
When will it bring you to me?

I'm watching the wind
For you hands and expression
Your shoulders your brow
And your walk
To hear what you'll say
When I first hear you speak
Oh! when will it bring you to me?
