Her eyes were the
saddest I'd ever seen
truly a mind now zombified
in earthbound remaining time
with all of an empty nothing
engulfing her forever dreams

She lost,
more than a thing or two
the loss went very deep
the core of her soul ripped away
stolen by time's unforgiving fate
absconded off by the evil one

All would agree
loss of key
or coin or such thing
really is a common trifling
but loss of all you've got
knowing will never find?

She asked not for sad fate's
sudden visit upon her time
rather always hoped keeping life
but with her whole life's blood
drained from the brittle shell
all her soul can do is wait
