I think I've wished for you long ago,
When I was very eager to sow
But I didn't know where I'm supposed to go.

I think I've wished for you once more,
When I walked out the door
And I hoped for wind to make me soar.

I think I've wished for you again,
When I cannotΒ find the next bend,
I could use rest and a helping hand.

I think I've wished for you on a day,
When I didn't want to hear what people say,
All I want is someone who'll stay.

I think I've wished for you on a jinny joe and a shooting star,
When my dreams seem so far
And so big to fit in my jar.

I think I've wished for you tonight,
When I'm giving up and can no longer fight,
When darkness came and I needed light...

*I think I've wished for you all my life.
There are wishes we make unconsciously. I unconsciously wished to go home.
