There is a valley in my heart,
It is golden
Yellow enough to feel like summer
But the grass is frosted
Masked in cold, in white...
Tipped in cold, in white...
It doesn't take much for the sun to set
But it takes work for it to rise
It takes tattered notes
Filled with hopes
And wishes on lucky pennies
Later, I fall with the sun
I close my eyes
Here I can feel echoes in the valley
The valley is two mountains
Side by side & empty inside
I think you once called us love
Without substance
Not like yellow, like empty spaces
And cold whites
The valley is not a thing but a
Hole in me
Making you whole.
