In the darkness
The quiet void
That we avoid

Because open conversations
Are sincere explorations
That bring light to the shadows
That empower
Those who once cowered
Bringing balance
To the broken scale
We called justice

If need be we can do this
Just for us
Because when this society bleeds
It seeds pain and destruction
Erodes the topsoil we sit on
Diminishes the strong
And even we sink in this hell
So we can help ourselves
By helping everyone

Or we can help everyone
Because they are one
Part of the whole
Covering the collective
Breathing in the same
Kind of air
Feeling the same skin
Because they are kin

Pick a reason any reason to begin
And be kind from there
On till your end
