i am the silhouette you see but do not get too near
the shadow lingering in the back with hearing ears
the sliver of moonlight you use to guide you home
when you reach your doorstep you offer not one glance back
i am the quiet radiant that goes unnoticed
the profound silence you ward away
all of the words you wish that you could say
