I played with fire once;
Ashes on my lips,
Singes on my back,
And I'm still burning

I'm a whirl of smoke;
Waiting for your flame,
Hovering above,
The match that you are.
The picture is that her being the match and me being the smoke (with a dead fire) & when you put a fire above a match with a whirling smoke, it lights up. Yes it's a euphemism for ***.
