Sep 2015
the morning that I left,
I dry heaved all the way home
I couldn't eat the breakfast
mom had made special for me
I went straight to the shower
I like my showers on the
cold side
but today,
it was scalding-
as hot as it could be
I stood, watched
as the areas of my body
where your fingertips had explored
grew red under the falling water
