Jul 2015
the great flame rose up over the hills
as Lydia swallowed some mysterious pills
with a bottle in hand of cheap liquor store wine
she called to the sky for some kind of a sign

the wind stayed silent, the trees disappeared
the ocean dried up and the clouds quickly cleared
no answer was found, as she fell to her knees
drooling into the dirt as she sobbed on the breeze

with no friend in sight, the pills then went down
as she swallowed each one, she just fell to the ground
and the last thing she saw was God's gleaming grin
as he laughed in her face, saying "Suicide's a sin!"
