I remember the seashells on the beach,
     two shadows at my feet, and the sun on my back;
I remember laughing happiness as if it were my only feeling,
     and falling asleep with space-bound dreams of ecstasy;
I remember my heart fast-beating for no reason,
     smiling and not being able to stop.

I remember all these things in perfect detail,
     and yet it's been so long I've forgotten your face.
