He was given a notebook
to write whatever on its page
quite some years it took
before it came of age.

All these years he kept writing
he thought it was his everything
to him mattered what really
was no page should be left empty.

When he exhausted the last page
he found he had missed a lot to say
there remained unsaid at each stage
that he put off for another day.

He needed one more page in the notebook
to fill it up with what was till then unsaid
but the rule did not permit a re-look
no provision for a revision was made.

My little box

Smiles
I sit in my little box
So dark and empty
twiddling my life away
sharpened my blade plenty
On my death bed I lay
My heart beats gently
As my mind slowly decays
Alone I am contently
Happy to say
You resented me
So be without me for the rest of your days

Now I'm laying in my little box
So dark and empty
While people cry and people talk
But don't shed a tear
No, cry three cheers
Because for once I am happy
In my little black box
Built just for me

Time and again
It's easy to see
first I do drugs
and then they do me

Because I say
I don't believe
in the devil there
is no real assurance
that he doesn't exist

When he's found out
 he's not getting his due
 My guess is that
 he's going to be ******

Santa
and
Satan
they be
making their list

I'll get
what's coming
my way
On this
he'll insist

A lump of coal
slung in a sock
and a wicked back hand
with a doubled up fist

Just enough rope
to hang myself
if you get my gist

expel my blood
in the bath after
I've slit my wrists

Full on boils and
***** oozing cysts
Gassy smelling vapour air
charcoal coloured mist

The  forked tongue
pushes out a steamy hiss
Master of many moves made
a charming guile hard to resist

Pre-paid passage
on the wretched raft
his water minions
pulling me out
to cross the Styx

You do drugs
then they do you
You know it in your heart
there is madness in the mix

So if you don't mind
I'll stand over there
while you keep six

Wrote this after hearing a friend of mine tried to **** herself.

If you're reading this, or stumbled upon this by chance,
then you've done a good deed, allow me to explain, this fortunate happenstance!
You see my dear reader, you've done quite extraordinarily well,
because for each stroke of key, each dash of a pencil,
you've created something unique, and different, and altogether wonderful!
You've bravely and boldly put out one foot, and followed close with the other,
you, dear reader, are a name among many, child, brother, sister, father, or mother.
You've done it, yes I must say you have indeed,
you've broken the barrier, for with words, here you exceed!
Exceed beyond expectations, beyond the crushing blow,
the world tried to stamp you out, but it didn't work, I'm sure you know.
Because here you are! Still standing, sitting, living right there!
And you still have a set of lungs to breath, that sweet, smoggy, air!
Ah yes, all jest aside,
no, no, my friend stay but a little while longer! No need to run or hide!

Ah yes my friend what a splendid job you've done,
doing what many others, would not dare to have begun!
You're life of longing, all your wishes and fears alike,
you've written them all out, now you speak them through the mike.
Here you are, in your own little world, secluded, or so it seems,
here where you sit and read, the others hopes and dreams.
So sit on again,
come back to me my friend,
and we'll find out just what you've done, and what needs doing,
and don't bother about the work, there's no other place that's going.

You've exposed yourself, naked on this page,
you've said it all, the hate, hurt, the happiness, and the rage.
You've cried tears of joy, and let the river of pain flow on,
You've even stayed awake for this, well past the crack of dawn.
You've helped others see, what they could not see in themselves at all,
what bravado, what commitment, what gallantry, what gall!
So here you are, reading this silly little poem,
and you have a choice to make, to stay isolated and alone, or give a chance to know'em!

So I suppose you've done a heroic thing, by stepping outside the box,
your words, they flow and they dance, they trot just as the fox.
I will not ask for what does the fox speaketh to you,
I'm just saying, you've done well my friend, I sincerely mean it, I do.

Now off with you then. Time to fire up your kindled fire,
let the world know, of what you really, truly, desire!
You've got a world to conquer, not by sticks nor by stone,
but by the blood of your body, and the spirit in your bone!
So go on, tally **! Charge on unto the breach,
the little man lacks the voice, so its time for you to teach!
God bless you, your face which I may never meet,
God bless the things you do, and may you always stand upon two feet!
Whoop! Go get'em folks!

We the Few

We the Few
stand below the many,
trampled, and beaten, pushed down, and forgotten.
We look up above and ask one thing, with what little pride left,
a tear in our eyes,
why?
Because they hate us? Because they can? Because they choose too? Because...we are few?

No more, not today, nor any more from now!
I say to you, to us! Rally up and throw up the banner, sound the battle-cry!
No more I say, no more! No more shall we have to live just to die!
Today is new, so must we be!
For we are the few, that the many must see!
We'll call up the cry in the name of peace and justice for all,
we shall then see, the righteous as it is, as justice stands blind and tall!
Let the Liberty Bell Ring, for you and me!
Let us, The Proud and Few!, Let us finally be free!
Let me a-test to you, my fellow brothers and sisters, alone no longer we stand!
For together we cry, hear our voices!, together hand-in-hand!

But let us not be hypocritical, to even our oppressors,
for what better are we than them, if we treat them like our lessers?
So rally the troops, raise high the banner, sound the horns all-round,
let each and every voice, sing high and low, the freedom sound.
The tyrants shall fall, given time,  and through the trials that'll be,
for we shall make our names known, of the Few...that is We.

You

Mystery Girl
You
Help me see beauty in the world
Put a smile on my face
Bring out the side of me I thought I'd never see again
Are everything I need
Have beauty inside and out
Shine brighter than the sun
Give me hope and joy
Burn in the back of my mind
Are my saving grace
Are my savior
I love you
A poem about poems....

Save Me
 Apr 2014 Auss
Mystery Girl
You've read it all before
Said you'd be there
But when I quit
It's like you vanished
You'll probably read this
I don't care anymore
No one really sees it
What's right in your faces
The cries for help
And tears spilled
Every suicidal thought
That runs in my head
Maybe you think
It's just how I write
But I write my heart
And it's crying out
Has been for a long time
Just no one hears it
The silent sobbing
Hidden away from public
My heart cries out
Save me
Don't go
Just try
Please
Try to save me

Weak

My brain says move
My body disobeys
I sleep
I don't eat
My smile is gone
My green eyes have faded
My skin has paled
My body has thinned
I am weak
