Standing by the ocean
feeling so at ease
My thoughts are set on wandering
away with the sea breeze.
I think about the life I've led
all the things I've done
and as your name enters my head
out comes the burning sun.
As the sun now warms my face
I think of how you warmed my heart.
And as the boats sail out to sea
I pray we never drift apart.
Remembering the times we've shared.
The way you love,
the way you care.
That precious smile
Generous heart,
I pray we never drift apart......

Have you wondered why?
I am like I am,
Or have you just taken me,
For what I have become?

Have you ever been so sure?
Caught in the middle,
Of yesterday and tomorrow,
Wasting the years as they come,

Is it so hard to save me,
Even when I am wrong,
Is it so hard to love me,
The way I love you,

Or have I never,
Been so wrong.

W. H. Auden
Lay your sleeping head, my love,
Human on my faithless arm;
Time and fevers burn away
Individual beauty from
Thoughtful children, and the grave
Proves the child ephemeral:
But in my arms till break of day
Let the living creature lie,
Mortal, guilty, but to me
The entirely beautiful.

Soul and body have no bounds:
To lovers as they lie upon
Her tolerant enchanted *****
In their ordinary swoon,
Grave the vision Venus sends
Of supernatural sympathy,
Universal love and hope;
While an abstract insight wakes
Among the glaciers and the rocks
The hermit's sensual ecstasy.

Certainty, fidelity
On the stroke of midnight pass
Like vibrations of a bell,
And fashionable madmen raise
Their pedantic boring cry:
Every farthing of the cost,
All the dreadful cards foretell,
Shall be paid, but not from this night
Not a whisper, not a thought,
Not a kiss nor look be lost.

Beauty, midnight, vision dies:
Let the winds of dawn that blow
Softly round your dreaming head
Such a day of sweetness show
Eye and knocking heart may bless.
Find the mortal world enough;
Noons of dryness see you fed
By the involuntary powers,
Nights of insult let you pass
Watched by every human love.

As long as I love you....
There will be stars in the skies,
There will be turning tides,

As long as I love you....
There will be birds in the trees,
And your kiss will bring me to my knees,

As long as I love you....
I promise it will never end,
Or this poem I will have never have penned.

The day the words spilled from your lips,
I believed we had it made,
The day we wrote the scripts,
My life before I would have trade,
And now I know it's ended,
It is all falling down over my head,
Your kisses were nothing but splendid,
Oh well! I guess that's enough said,
But I still need you,
Love with you was natural and real,
Without you my life is a grey and blue,
Before you now I kneel,
Begging you please,
But my words get lost on the breeze.

We all fall in love sometimes,
Spill words of our love in funny rhymes,
Skipping through life having a ball,
Then there's the god awful downfall,
Sometimes life gives you lemons and limes.

Love rains down on us,
Romantic heart bleeds for thee,
Is it really meant ?
