In the year of death
when the fuliginous  sky
tosses its white ashes
down upon earth-

The winter months last forever.

They shut me up in Prose—
As when a little Girl
They put me in the Closet—
Because they liked me “still”—

Still! Could themself have peeped—
And seen my Brain—go round—
They might as wise have lodged a Bird
For Treason—in the Pound—

Himself has but to will
And easy as a Star
Abolish his Captivity—
And laugh—No more have I—
gun
gun in hand

hands bound are

bound to dream

finding one seam to

rip apart

open

and leave

what are

ballots

but bullets

ready

squeeze

squeeze it

you faceless ****

you,

through teeth

gritted and

jaw working,

white knuckle

got-up

buckled up

safe

you

show me

how dirt

really tastes

because you always

ever knew that

ballots are

bullets binding

ready to

sunder

me
We started slow,
touching softly,
exploring timidly,
waiting for what we knew was to come.

I could feel his heart,
and it echoed into every part of my  body,
it reverberated in my veins,
flowed through my heart,
stopped cold in my stomach.

I start to move,
rotating my body,
kissing his neck and face,
telling him in every way,
I want you.

All he moves is his hand.

He teases,
he plays,
he tortures,
then finally I can't take anymore,
and we begin.
I don't remember, any more,
The exact shape of your hands
As I held them in mine,
Caressed them,
Memorized the length of your fingers,
The depth of your calluses.

I don't remember, any more,
Exactly your height, how much
Taller than me
You were, where
My head rested on your chest
When you held me tightly close.

I don't remember, any more,
Your scent, when we lay together
Creating our own
Magic rhythm,
Matching our heartbeats as we
Touched the sky, together.

I don't remember, any more,
The sound of your voice, calling
My name as though
It were a song
Within itself, a precious treasure
You valued with all your being.

And I don't remember, any more,
The color of your eyes, the shape
Of your lips,
Only...
How your eyes crinkled at the corners
And your laugh, as you told me,

"I love you."
