What are you afraid of?*

I am afraid I'm loosing you
and afraid I'm loosing myself,
In tying to make you mine

I don't know if I should fight
For what I have never won,
I don't know if you are a prize

I don't know when
I started falling or
When I'll hit the ground,
But this tumble might hurt
More than a stumble,
And I am afraid

Afraid to give myself away,
Like a gift, to a man who might
Throw me away, like trash.

I would rather be single
on Valentines day than be
the object of your obsession

I would rather be heckled
by the critics in the comedy club
that is my love life, than
hear the venom in your voice
through the phone at 3 am

I would rather never get laid
than feel your hands creep
inside my ******* again

I would rather drink cheep *****
than taste the lies in your kisses

I would rather buy my own
flowers than smell your
scent on my favorite bra

I would rather be blind
than see what you call love

I would rather be alone
on Valentines day than
be your ****** valentine

Dear New Love,
Why do I call you New Love?
Does this imply that
There is Old Love, that
love has an expiration date.

Dear Old Love,
Why is the memory of you
still clinging to my sheets?
It's not that I miss you
It's not that I want you
back, but I crave that
feeling from when our
love was young,
When I was innocent.

Dear New Love,
I’m scared, sorry.

Dear Old Love,
I am not sorry.

Dear New Love,
I need you to understand
that I am very good at
being alone, that I
have turned off the
parts of myself that make
me loveable.
I stopped watering
My gardens and my flowers
Have all died
That I am afraid to
fall because I
know how it feels
to not be caught.

Dear Old Love,
Thank you for not
Catching me.

Dear New Love,
Please be patient.
Walk slowly with me
through this city, let
the crowds run past
we will catch up.
Hold my hand.
I'll keep your promise
within the space between
us, for it's not distance
it's love.

love,
Julia

Fish The Pig
the thunder talks to me
and tells me to be afraid
of it's glory
and power
and boom.
it tells me that if I don't want to see the lightning,
then I must close the windows and draw the shades
and turn my back.
The thunder sounds
even when there is no storm.
the thunder is always there within my heart,
warning me of the lightning,
telling me
to close my eyes
cover my ears
stay inside
and stay afraid.
always.

What is reality?
Is it in the sky?
The whistling wind?
The whispering trees?
Or is it the voices that speak to me?
Ever so softly in the dead silence of the night
Dancing in the wind
Swaying to the silent music
Sweet voices sharing knowledge and helpful suggestions
Dreaming of a world where no harm is done
Wake up
With each passing second the soothing voices grow louder
Suggestions become questionably dangerous
Hinting on what they want to be done
What they want to finish
Walking backwards
Crooked head
Wide open eyes
Listening to the echoing silence waiting for the next word
Aggressive commands
Yelling and screaming
Bouncing off the cranium walls
Shrieking what they demand to be taken care of
Won't stop....

Won't stop
WONT STOP
Won'tstopwon'tstopwon'tstop
Circling and over lapping they continue
Chaotic noise fills the overwhelming silence that is reality
Too far gone
Pathetic attempts to cease the faceless demons
Run
Hit
Scratch
Scream
One way out:

Do what we say...

Think what we think...

WE are your reality now.

If I should die,
And you should live—
And time should gurgle on—
And morn should beam—
And noon should burn—
As it has usual done—
If Birds should build as early
And Bees as bustling go—
One might depart at option
From enterprise below!
’Tis sweet to know that stocks will stand
When we with Daisies lie—
That Commerce will continue—
And Trades as briskly fly—
It makes the parting tranquil
And keeps the soul serene—
That gentlemen so sprightly
Conduct the pleasing scene!

Sometimes with the Heart
Seldom with the Soul
Scarcer once with the Might
Few—love at all.

Hey guys

I have found several Daily Poems from this site being shared externally with no acknowledgement to the rightful owner :(

Head over here....

http://thepoetryden.wordpress.com/author/thepoetryden/

and if you find your original work there then I highly encourage you ask this person to either a) link the poem back to your original or b) remove them from his site. He claims to be a poet and is misleading people by not putting original names/original links to the works he is posting!

Go through them carefully as the titles of the poems have been changed.

Please share this because I have read at least 3 poems from this site from 3 different people over there with no acknowledgement to the original author!

Update ~ Sept 6th 2014 ~ You are NOT going to believe this. I found Shane Linville on Facebook and you will never guess who is one of his favourites! Chris G Vaillancourt! That's right, the very same well known plagiarist from days gone by at HP. He was such an insidious piece of work

*******! Not the way I'd like to see my name next to a Daily Poem but getting the awareness out there is a nice thing too :)
Update... To those listed below with stolen poetry who can't access the link to the blog because its been made private you can still contact word press to advise them and they can check the blog to make sure it's been removed. His name is Shane Linville! I'm just sorry I didn't have time to go through everything he had posted :(
The link above contains the following stolen poetry (that I know so far)
Indifference by Purple Orchid is posted as Her Soul
The Bells of Civilizations Ring by Sjr1000 is posted as World of Disease
Morning Light by Silas is posted as Morning Light (no name change but no link to the original)
I am Stone by imadeitallup (no name change but no link to the original)
A Fool for You by MYstro mAdden posted as Your Love
These a just a few... If you know any of the above poets... please share with them
