The blue macaw kept squawking
The red panda played hide and seek
The penguins were with their forever partners
Then you came to mind
Dear friend stop looking
Hope he drops from the universe
Pops up in Starbucks
Finds you at Reagan or LAX
Heath row ir wherever you go
Your one and only is out there
Hope you find him
Want to dance at your wedding
Find him
Who you are looking for
He is looking for you, too.

Wish upon a falling star
Many wishes ascending to the sky
Looking in the blue black night
While waiting for a falling star
Catching someone else’s wish
from afar.

I want to remember
what it feels like
to kiss you gently & slowly
to the beat of our hearts
in sync,
catching our breath. . .

Will there ever be a time
when I can look into your
eyes without another pair
watching?

I want to know what it is like
to give you my attention &
all of my passion
without a poisonous thought
of doubt creeping into
my mind. . .

Will there ever be a time
when I can feel your
undeniable attention begging
to have a glimpse of
my aching soul? . . .

When is our turning page?
Will there ever be? . . .

Papercuts is all I feel,
when do I get to
feel your safety
overwhelm me? . . .

Will there ever be a time
when I get to whisper
that nothing makes me stronger
than your fragile heart? . . .

Wherever you go,
I want to be there. . .
as long as you want me to
be there too.
Her skin is full
of holes, and
she's ***** by
the dawn on a
daily basis;
wandering the midnight
streets of this
broken City.
Her feet are
calloused and raw.
That once tough heart is
soft now, looking for
love in the rabid
faces of evil.
Seagulls still fly into
cars, and spiders
spin webs in the dark.
Abandoned houses have
become her home
and her soul aches
for someone to hold.
Sometimes,
dreams float by,
like a dragonfly
on a soft breeze.

She could do anything
The girl with talents diverse
Act in a play
No need to rehearse
She could write a song
You’d be humming
All night long
She could strum a tune
You’d be strumming
Strumming along
She could do anything
She could sing
She could do so much
So much was not enough
When the living got tough
There was one thing
She could never do
That was to love herself
The girl with talents diverse
Her heart was a stone
She was lost, so alone
Left on the shelf
She could do anything
But she could not
Would not do anything
To set herself free
I could not
Do anything
To make her love me
Sad poem about unrequited love, and the inability to love.  Someone loved her and appreciated her talents and wanted her to  return that love, but her poor self image destroyed any hopes of happiness for them both

Your hands are full of violence
Your mind is filled with rage
Your glance is like a hungry lion
Pacing in its cage
I can hear
Them playing,
The devil inside
from the carnival
down the street.
All the bleak
eyes wandering
through the
empty crowd,
looking for
love or dope;
something to change
their perception.
