Us
You gave me lights,
You gave me rights,
I was stubborn,
You were nice.

I gave you tears,
I gave you cheers,
You persevered,
I didn't.

They gave us time,
They gave us lime,
You said 'please',
I said, 'sorry'.

Friends betrayed,
Foes befriended,
I was dismayed,
For all that wasn't amended.
There was no eternal darkness,
nor the existence of brightness,
it was falling into oblivion,
with a heart made of obsidian.
There was no place to blame,
only for me to be shame,
for trusting unconditionally,
and believing naively.
The thread finally snap,
I fell into my own trap;
I'll smile like I always did,
but sincerity will be rid.
That's me, all right.

The words dripping,
Our feelings flipping,
The tears falling,
Our ways splitting,

Your care disappears,
Your heart reappears,
Your eyes like gears,
Your ears mishear,

I speak in language,
Our thoughts never engage,
I try to salvage,
Our mismatch **damage.

Without you

You arrived with a bang,
Brought lights and colours,
Turned my world upside down,
Drained my eyes of tears,
Created muscles on my cheek,
And did surgeries on my heart.

But,

When you left, the colours dulled,
The lights switched off,
The tears kept on flowing,
The stitches in my heart reopened,
The smiles for you disappeared,
And the warm summer became cold.
