Everyone sees jealousy as a bad thing...

I think it's kinda nice that someone really wants to spend with you and only you.
In the cases I've seen anyways.

Shaman who is keeping the flame.
Dancing like it's his last day.
Holding many secrets, knowing many fates.
Brown stubby knotted fingers do the pointing.
The young brown pups do the fetching.
Guiding the meek, chanting history.

He taught my family how to preserve mother.
Sometimes for sport, sometimes for balance.
Insisted we did this favour; not as ritual, but as rite.
We wait until the moon is filled of Mars.
We sing our people's song.
Sometimes a harmony, sometimes a challenge.

To do the shamans work; maybe *****.
We roam in threes, sometimes fours.
Our sanctified goal to slay mother's cousin.
Tall ones, brown like us, bones gnarly from skull.

We huff, and puff; the winter cold.
Lungs tired after kissing the chilly breeze.
The tundra lit up with a crimson sheen.
Fatiguing the march, yet we fly.

Hunters we hunt, fast with four legs.
We single a herd, resting their heads.
We focus the small ones, biting and gashing.
They fell like birch trees, painting the powder.
Outnumbering us, sport turns to anxiety.

We bite, gnaw, ****, and claw.
They fall hard to the Earth.
We don't feast, we have a mission.
Looting the bones, we keep them in submission.
Thinning them out; is our fed intuition.
Brothers grow tired, the prey devastated.
Mars reflects to us, as if saying mother is pleased.
The young brown pups do the fetching.

Masks and fiction we wear as protection
To keep us safe from vulnerable situations
Make-up we plaster as our happiness
The mentality of only you... no trespassing,
Because self-inflicted hurt is less agonizing
Than others getting to close to our truths.
Covering the life lessons with a layer of skin,
Cautioning any soul we begin to let in,
Keeping our mindless thoughts ever-dwelling.

This life promised happiness, tragedy, forgiveness.
But, in adulthood, it doesn't provide protection.
Rather, it hands us elders and guardians
That remind us vulnerability is unhooking your
Body from the steel-anchor of problems.
That the winds may knock you off your feet, but
We'll fly again as the water flows along the breeze.

He laid his head upon my chest, i
felt his breath on the back of my neck.
Yet that was long ago, a baby of only
eight months old.
Time can be an enemy when you would like it
to stop.
It just fly's on by with no end in sight.
I live today with the quote."God giveth, God
taketh away.
Seemed like yesterday calling him home from
his day of play.
He's all grown up, and stuck to his plan.
Been away three years now. Him and Uncle
Sam.
Coming home soon. I pray he makes it out
of those sand dunes.
So if anyone of my Poet Brothers or Sisters should read
this. Give my Son your prayer ending with a
GOD BLESS."

stone the bear
As the soft drops of rain gently kiss your cheek. As the birds find the melody with every word you speak. As summer winds send chills throughout your body with every breath you take. You are so many things my dear but never a mistake. So cherish this day as the present it is. For just like this day you my dear are a gift.
thank you, prince; for this will always have a place with me
