I feel connected with humpity-dumpity,
"why would you say such a thing?"

I giggle and banter,
but in reality, I am humpity-dumpity;

i am broken
and cannot be *fixed
weird association, but true

This problem has gone on so long
we always reach the same old sum

divided by lies
multiplied by my failure to learn
In division, we carried over

the sequences of your dishonesty
compounded by lack of ownership

numbers don't lie

you brought a lot of uncertainty into the equation
it played a huge factor
the lowest common denominator

I never was good at arithmetic, but something doesn't add up

subtract me

I sit here tonight writing to you,
but I know you'll never see it.
I'm here holding onto everything that we had,
everything that we could be.
I wake in tears as the stars say goodbye,
it reminds me of us and what is gone.
It reminds me of our lost songs.
It reminds me of the memories.
It reminds me of everything we once had,
everything we could be.
Entered searching for my berth
And settled with a sigh
You asked if I want water
Sipping I removed tie

Whistling loud the train then rolled
Nobody else in there
Only our souls in that coupe
just you and I to share

We were silent for a while
Then we started talking
Chatting that went on and on
theme was interesting

Many a thing were so common
our thoughts started matching
Went on till four in the morn
but time went on ticking

For me you sang those numbers
Even told me to try
Don’t know when that we dozed off
Woke up when sun was high

Dressed up and sat for breakfast
Served each other with care
Wondered how close we became
though coming from somewhere

Then we headed to the door
Opened and we sat there
Morning rays from azure sky
through the trees dancing glare

When fresh breeze from woods crept in
Your hair tickled my ear
Scenic beauty refreshing
You and nature so near

Whole day how we laughed and laughed
Night at eight we will part
Thoughts in heart running so fast
Like a train and a dart

Station had come, you got down
We parted, wishing well
Train then picked up momentum
Hurting was that farewell

Came back to coupe, on your berth
saw the library card
With your photo and address.
