Stale beer and cheap cigarettes.
She tilted the long neck bottle up,
And swallowed another death wish.
She said under her breath,
"This one's for you."

The guy across the fire smiled at her.
His hands touched her softly,
But it reminded her of you.
Another swig of beer.
Tonight was her breaking point,
And you were gone.

It wasn't making love,
they were ******* on a torn couch.
He wouldn't remember her name in the morning,
But she didn't know her name that night.

The sad part is standing back and watching.
I know she isn't like this.
You started this,
All by telling her "I don't know."

The days of little sun
Are the days we are forced
To find light elsewhere

The flame that we had now but a wisp of smoke
Memories that we shared, now shattered glass
In an instant, a minute, a second, everything vanished
Hatred and indifference in it's place

And if I listen to the silence quiet enough,
I can hear my heart breaking.

You
I want to be snuggled up beside you
Wrapped in your warmth and words
It's the only cure for what ails me

I am no tidal wave
I do not crash onto your skin
leaving behind a salty sorrow
I am a puddle of dirt and pond water
my hair smells of the ocean
it rubs off onto me
from the tidal waves I swim through
but I will not rock your boat
I will fill it with leaks
I am no tidal wave

Every now and again you think.
You step back from the moment and breathe.
And in these small breaths, the intervals between the thoughts, there is bliss.
And I never really found out what that means but, I guess I don't really need to know.
There are dreams you dream in the daytime.
And there are nightmares that take your fear away.
There are endless nights and years that fly and I, watch it all pass.
There is time, as in what a watch reads, and there is time, as in time to watch the clouds rolls by on a perfectly rainy day.
There is hate in this world, yes, but that is simply one side of a sphere.
This is never ending, we are never ending, time will never be of the essence because I will never be of the essence.
There will never be a more important and opportune moment in your life than this one, so take the time, the intervals between the breaths, to think.

I spent all day
                                                          Stuck
In a dream

When I woke up it was dark
And my eyes were
Shut
