This was never meant to hurt you.
It was a simple miscommunication,
a stumble of words.
"Words" can be so easily misspelled to say "swords,"
and swords can impale.
I suppose words can, too.

I long for my soul
that travels with you
as I am with hunger
that just you can fill.
I imagine you thus, my completion
when in truth I perceive only me
in my dream my delusion of lack.
While we are intact our creation
with stories of struggle revival and pain
as we meet and remember and dance with each other
learning and playing this journey again....
Real eyes..

Realize...

Realities.

I prefer fantasies.

Because its the
only
place
we
can
be.
Realities are not made

for
dreamers

me.

if you think about it,
clouds are just like people —

they move around slowly,
carrying all of this weight on
their shoulders until finally,
they get sad and turn grey and
drench us with the feelings
they've been holding back.

sometimes, however, i think
that i would rather be a cloud
than a person because clouds
aren't afraid to show people
their emotions —

they cry;
for minutes, for hours,
sometimes for days,
but they are not scared
or embarrassed. they are not
afraid to tell others exactly
how they are feeling —

maybe that is why there
is always sun after the storm.

everything love
is resolute.

you said so many times
that you would love me
for the rest of your life
and only now do I
realize you may
have understood
that love isn't
confined to
a relationship
it just lasts.

This realization was sudden and very painful.

Why they call it Devil's Elbow,
I don't and never will know,
Because this is the most beautiful place I've seen;
It's so beautiful like a dream.
There are fir trees on the cliff behind the lighthouse dear,
Oh I do so love it here,
A light sheen of mist fills the air around the trees;
The sunset reflects on the sand which blows away in the breeze.
The majestic seagulls walk on the shore and fly in the air,
So freely and happily without a care,
Beautiful waves crash against the boulders in motion;
The seagulls sing a song of the ocean.
The beacon's light guides the ships at night,
Oh the beauty of it's light,
On and on the waves crash and flow;
Oh I love Devil's Elbow!

I'll be blunt;

I'm quartering myself
down to the bare minimum
because I see these pretty girls
everywhere and I tell myself
he'd fall for them, easy. I am
having trouble finding what
anyone could possibly see
in me. My countenance is
quicksand, don't struggle.

Sat down next to me
borrowed scissors
to cut out colors from a
magazine.
Cerulean blue, pthalo green,
just a subtle gesture
but could it be
I held some interest
for a creature
like her?
