"It gives me wonder great as my content
To see you here before me."*
—William Shakespeare — Othello, act II, scene I.

She, veiled in night-breezes of darkled hue;
This cream Inamorata as you've called her.
She wishes to calm the seas; your eyes a turbulent blue.
The remnants of a broken heart she hopes to stir,
With the enchanting embrace of her halo-like arms.
Like you, this angel sought heaven all along.
Enthralled by her and all of her innocent charms,
You now cling to her and chant every love-song!
If World be willing — if malignant stars never shined,
Then she would fly to you without any fear,
And she'd cradle your heart; a widower's heart that pined
For this dusky form that you now hold in your thoughts so dear.
But tonight she waits for you in after-curfew dreams.
So luminous is her light, though the darkness it gleams!
You turned my head and gave me a rosebud hickey
upon my lips,
and spoke the words that I get high on...
"I love you"

You told me to quit my worrying
of you slipping through the floorboards
of my wooden heart
with bent and broken nails

You kissed her hours later
while I was alone
missing you and your
haunting smile...
So why not just take the halo floating around my head
that you placed,
and put it around my neck instead?

I hang,
and hang on every word
that drips off your lips
leaving rope burns on my neck
stopping my breath
because I breathed
your air, and as you spoke
less and less,
I was suffocating.
Broken soul
Twisted thoughts run through my mind
Lullabies try to silence this screaming inside
Shattered wings, torn halo
I can't fly anymore
Losing grip
I can't hold on to what I'm searching for
Innocence is gone
All hope has flown away
This path I live on
I'm circling this road again
Everything is stolen
Shadows fall upon me
Blinding the sun that I long to see
Burying the pain, deeper
Down in the darkest place of me
Holding the rage
Hating the thing that brought me here
Missing every part of the old me
Even though he was naive
Even he knew when to leave
All I want to do is bleed
Bleed it out and never return to me
I'm stolen, just  broken

I've seen you hurt
and I know your pain.
Sorrow courses through
your veins like an ******
and yet you are
my sweetest refrain.

Someday you will take
off your cheap polyester
dress of corruption
and put on a glittery
incorruptible couture.

You are so fragile,
a bent sapling
with bruised shoots,
grazing the earth
trying to make
it in a society of redwoods,
oaks, and few weeping willows.

Your courage wraps
around me like a shawl.
You are my angel
with broken wings
and a tilted halo.
Arched across the balustrade,
Silently keening
A poignant, broken elegy
Unceasing refrains and requiems;

Touch of death unveiled
Ever so gentle,
Wicked in its false lies
And beguiling sweet façade.

Crimson, staining
Seeping through the depths,
Oh how savage,
Cruelly taunting, vicious.

And yet all that we saw,
Was a halo shining bright
A bringer of of life and death
In calming repose, an angel.
A god ****** angel dragging my wings
hating to see another angel sing
doing none of those angel things
oh ******* reality's sting

god ****** right i still have fight
my wings are broke, my fist is tight
as i stalk on through the night
no saving grace in my sight

a god ****** angel misunderstood
actions bad, no halo for good
doing things that no one could
oh ******* no one would

god ****** fool to even believe
i could try losing to achieve
sentenced here to never leave
broken halo with no reprieve

a god ****** angel caught in between
broken wings are hidden, unseen
crawling in dirt, thoughts never clean
oh ******* the future foreseen
In ****** battle
Falling down
Shouting curses
Broken crown

Blades of silver
Wounds of gold
Impossible scene
Forced to behold

Horrors and wonders
Hate and love
Mixture of feelings
A demon above

Angel wings
Caught aflame
Halo shattered
Lost royal name

Marble castle
Cracks under blow
Of feather weight
And fallen snow

Acid rain
Falls from red sky
Burns through pale flesh
And watch them die
Angel lips
Devil eyes
One short kiss
Burns a while.

Like a candle
Burns brighter with time,
Reins, she's on a saddle
She'll whip you right.

A little touch
Goes a long way,
A hurtful nudge
Burns you to grey.

Kind enough
To let you go,
But only once
She's on the throne.
