In the dark we are all strangers
with just a voice, never seeing,
judgment of others only by the
tone of a voice.

The darkness covers are faults,
not of our own. but what others
would think, it is a cloak that
hides us in a blanket of secrets.

Would we touch around, hands
to one self, or feel others features,
woman or man, does the voice match
what you thought the features would
be like.

Darkness is a blanket that hides
misconceptions of others, hiding
religion, skin tone, looks are nothing
in darkness as this all melts away, for
in darkness we are one and the same...

Starlight from a bottle
To drown my tears, liquid sorrow
Seeping through my veins, filling
Gaping black holes with empty memories
Of your love.

Watch the clock with blank eyes,
Seconds ticking past, a wasted life
Lost in memories of sunshine and pianos,
Nothing but memories now.
I keep on dying again.
Veins collapse, opening like the
Small fists of sleeping
Children.
Memory of old tombs,
Rotting flesh and worms do
Not convince me against
The challenge. The years
And cold defeat live deep in
Lines along my face.
They dull my eyes, yet
I keep on dying,
Because I love to live.
I once read
That in 7.6 billion years
The sun
Having reached its maximum size
Will shine 3,000 times brighter
Than it does now
I have always wondered
How it is possible
To know such a thing
When 100 years
Is beyond a lifetime
How we could possibly
Look so far into the future
When now seems like an eternity
And tomorrow is miles away
How can we embrace the moment
When we are constantly being told to plan ahead
And what's the point
Of waiting 7.6 billion years
When the sun is already
Shining
And the moon
Already loves her?
Tell me, have you ever been kissed in the rain
Ever loves so much that it wracks you with pain
Have you seen the sun rising, or watched as it set
Did you know they were perfect the moment you met
Have you looked into eyes, and seen naught but love
Thanked God for the blessings rained down from above
Have you lost someone special, a person held dear
When you’re alone and it’s dark do you wish they were near
Tell me of the memories, each second that passed
Of times you took first, and times you came last
Did you ever hold someone close, and whisper low
I love you forever and I won’t let go
Have you known you were wrong, and tried to make it right
The anguish of which won’t let you sleep at night
Do you miss what you had, are you mad you let go
Have you ever considered letting everyone know
Have you lost all you held, your home and your friends
Tell me, do you pray that your pains find their ends
I’ve known the top of the mountain, I’ve known the fall
I will always love you, my everything, my all.
Build up your treasure
in heaven, with riches
that never fade

Reach out for the
greater things in life,
whose origins only
in heaven lay

Hunger for the spiritual
things, those special
gifts from up above

And my God will
reward you aplenty,
with all the fullness
of His love

Lift the Lord Jesus up
on high, for He  loves
to hear your praise

And keep His love
which is so special
deep within your
heart always

Long for the treasure
found in heaven
deeply craving it
night and day

For the place where
your treasure really
lies, is where your
heart will surely stay.
