Their boat turned in towards us
ready to board our vessel
to take us to their island,
a fastness, craggy, bleak, treeless.

To winter peat fires, gales, darkness,
weird northern tales of gods and trolls,
black nights seared by bright light curtains,
a violent Viking heritage.

A place where cold sea and ocean
overturn the crippled sea stacks,
our lives in the boarding party's
hands and our skilful Shetland pilot.
You are my poetry,
Sometimes you are easy to understand,
Sometimes you are hard,
And sometimes you are beyond my reach,
But you are so beautiful,
That I don't want to give up on you
Sometimes the things that you say,
Fly over my head,
Leaving me dazed and confused,
But I love you
Sometimes you are what you say you are,
And sometimes you take it too far,
There are things I like about you,
And things I don't,
But they make you, You
So, I want both
You are all the great poets fused into one body,
One perfect poetry

I woke up this morning and my name flashed on T.V.
They said i blew up places , they said i killed masses .
Men , women & children I murdered them all.
Who am I ?
I am a muslim and i am taking this fall.
They used my name and spread the terror.
I am not them , it surely is an error.
We, muslims, are the holders of peace , we spread love.
Why am I being  represented by their false actions.
I am a person, with different notions.
World will now brand me a terrorist.
Don't judge me by their actions , I insist.
I am not them, they pilfered my name.
They inflicted libel , and my religion to defame .
I have been robbed , robbed of my name.
I am a muslim , human like you , all the same.
My name has been robbed , my identity stolen
I deprecate the terror and mourn for fallen.
There are millions like me and humanity lies in our depths.
But we are all victims of Identity Theft* ...............
We Muslims condemn  the Paris attack.

When I was small
I walked on fairy dust and
my dreams were as tall
as skyscrapers towering
above the universe
inside of me, was the galaxy.
I was born of the cosmos,
full of light and love
passionate in my quest to
give this to others.
But as I grew my star began to fade,
stars need love and light to survive
and deprived of both my blazing fire
transformed into weak candlelight.
At school I had learnt it was easier
to hide your light
than to stand out as different
and be extinguished in an instant.
So I kept myself to myself
at the back of the class,
knowing the answers but not
shouting them out.
I daydreamed, and doodled
stars on the corners
of my books, all the while
I could hear the universe
calling out to me to trust,
that we are all born of this
cosmic stardust.
Strong winds may uproot you
Unsettle your stoic resignation
You will be shaken and stirred
Lot of ponderings and doubts
In the middle of nowhere
When gravity does not give hope
Become a fearless traveler
Encounter the strong winds
No matter where you settle
Continue to spread your roots, deeper
Your soul is still with you
Nothing can stop you from reliving
Every unsettling episode
Will teach you to be more resilient

I keep hearing the voices
the magical mystery voices
singing for joy and for sadness
of Dai Bread's three in a bed
of Rosie Probert , Duck Lane - dead
of Miss Myfanwys washing line
of those alive and those dead
who visit privately instead.

She's missing, they're sure of it now.
They thought it strange no one called,
not a word, not a sight, not a sound.
We fear for her, missing overnight.

They're searching, asking questions now.
Locals helping, no one sleeping.
No word yet, family weeping.
Headline news, tension rising.

It seems like a week has passed by.
Police announce an arrest,
unspoken ******* fears.
Volunteers asked to stand down.
Missing, she'll always be missing.
