TODAY I dipped my mind in a fairytale.
It gave me grand visions.
A landscape of dancing letters
that spiraled into verse.

A place where little beings gathered
to urge me on as I flew
with wings inside poetic song.

to land in my heart.
The place I plan to stay.

You are a flower
Far too beautiful for me to pluck
I will come to your site everyday
Just to adore your sight
I'll leave you in your natural habitat
I cherish you
But I won't be selfish
I'll leave you for others to behold also
Utmostly, I want what's best for you

I searched
the deepest depths
of the vastest oceans,
I searched way up high,
past the clouds,
in the bluest of blue skies,

I searched
deep in the hearts
of nature's greenest forests...
It turns out,
that I was carrying it within me
all along - only now, do I realise.

I talk about damnation
so that I may understand the depth of prosperity

I walk my mind through our world’s fire
because only through
desperation
may I come to terms with the meaning of peace

I eternally breathe on the tip of a sword
because only then will I appreciate
being a shield to
others

I bear with restraint
so when let loose
I will never
debase the worth of having
wings unfolded

And when I close my eyes to rest
I don’t wish to see paradise
but to see reality
so when I wake
I only think about fantasizing
the life I live
