So the Poet knows that to
Stand up for it all,
He'll have to stand down.
Stand back and
Look around,

Say to himself: Your big heart
Deserves better than
Your big head, brother.
You can both have
Whomever you
Want.

So if you want each other,
Keep wanting each other.
You're not
Stupid, you've got hands. It ain't
Rocket Romance.

I stand yelling on both of my own
Shoulders, trying
Not to confuse
Myself.

I love you.
I'll take that. And
Run with
It.

Could I swallow this ocean
Of pride, so as not to
Drown in it?

Would any one gulp
Make a difference?
Stupid man.

Rather go down with it
Than lying -for once,
Saying:

*"You
Were
Right."

A strand of your hair
On the table.

I pick it up gently
In grace; gently in love still,

And place it in the bin.
If ever we end,

Let us end it
Like that.

I tried to climb to the
heavens but the rope
snapped, it frayed under
my weight of how high
I tried to get.

I tried to fly but I fell
to the ground, to lick
my wounds and get
back up from the
ground.

I climbed the highest tree,
the mountains where the
air was thin, I couldn't
climb fly any higher.

Then I realised that I
was reaching for some
thing that wasn't there.

I should have faith in my
self in others not trying
to rely on that which is
not really there.

I relied on some thing
that we all fall under the
curse of believing in some
thing non existent.

But  now I believe, believe
in myself and others not
something that isn't even
real just words wasted in air
my feet are firmly on the
ground.
Just my views I stopped believing when I was barley 10 each to there own....

Amitav Radiance
Glistening with beads of passion
The curves accentuated with every touch
Every drop of love quenching the thirst
Enraptured souls breathing life in to each other
Creating a surge of emotional waves
Drowning the lovers in the intensity
Emerging from the depths, to alpine moments
Euphoric bodies merge, to be one*

Best Friend

He has the basement all to himself
While im at work all day
He watches T.V. and lays around
Without a worry in his head

He eats and drinks when he wants
Takes naps in the afternoons
Jumps off the couch when I walk in
Because he knows I don't approve

He seems so happy when I come home
And thats when he wants to play
He jumps for joy and kisses me
And wont let me walk away

He follows me like he's a child
Thinks I'm the best thing in the world
He listens to every word I say
Then pretends its never heard

This is my dog, he does not judge
And his love is not pretend
He is my true companion
And he's known as mans best friend

I have been to verdant hills
watch moonrise on sea at gloam
nothing compares to what it feels
when I am back to my home.

Have trekked faraway mountain pass
caravaned on rolling desert
gone to icy heights where grows no grass
coming home I found my heart.

When travel bug bites my feet
eyes beg for the unseen shore
I wander far but soon retreat
beckons me sweet home's door.

I roam the unknown in wanderlust
weary of the cramped furlong
but end of day in twilight dust
feel the home is where I belong.
