it can either be
the greatest gift
or the most
painful response.
I haven't been writing short poems lately. Feels good to get this one out.

If only you could see you, really see you.
If only you could step outside yourself and witness the person you truly are.
You would see the color in you.
The child in you.
The man in you.
The artist in you.
The musician in you.
The passion in you.
The leader in you.
The sincerity in you.
You would see the lover in you.
The awe in you.
The beauty in you.
The smarts in you.
The care in you.
The spirt in you.
If you could see you,
If you could see you, how I see you,
You would know how the spark of you touch feels with every embrace.
If you could see you,
How I see you,
You would discover a whole new version of fairytale
That begun with “Once Upon an April 19th”,
If you could see you,
How I see you,
You would know how when our eyes meet, I fall right back in love
Like it’s the first time.
If you could see you
You would see the snow in you
And the warmth you

You

You, in all of you
If you could see you,
Really see you
You would see how I see you
You would adore you
The true you
The true you I know
The true you I truly love

I'm writing this for me
To not let me forget
Everything I have
Everything I regret

Stick to the plan
keep your head up high
Things I've done!
Things I've left behind

Keepit real
and keepit fly
You know what you know
and so do I

They are hurt.

We must feel for them.
They need help to heal.

They've been hurt.
They need help.

But what about me?

We're but a collection of monochrome films,
each it's own color.
Pixels on a screen,
giving life its big animated motion picture.

You are the absence of color in our cinema screen;
white.
I am the absorption or combination of all combined;
black.
So why then, when reflected through a prism your light
gives a rainbow?
It must be the light versus a color, without the light there is
no Technicolor.

We're but a composition of a continuous film,
and ensemble of the cinema of life.

Bow before his majesty
Give your soul and innocence to his divinity
Make your offering, practice your sacrifice
Hope for infinity
You were lied to,
The warmth is ice.

Trade your time for a place
To an entity without a face,
Remember...
Never throw your freedom to their greed and disgrace.

**** yourself, **** your neighbor
Don't give a **** about your loves and labor.

Kept in your heart, the hate you harbor
Will never get you farther,
Than the shoes of our fathers
Release your demons
Roll back your eyes
Crack slow a stoic smile
You will never fit in those shoes,
For they span for miles.

Remember,
God has no soul or soles,
He's just lying in the bathroom, crying,
half conscious on the tile...

Contains some of the most beautiful things

Writing fiction, praying, falling in love, dreams, our wild imaginations, dance, Crying, painting, music, lying, and running from nothing.

The most irrational of all,
Is finding the truth
In something.

Native Intuition
Delicate atmosphere
Intrinsically understood
Nature's intricate ecosystems
Our planetary amniotic fluid

Unborn children
Safe within the womb
Helplessly pondering our existence
Relentlessly hoping that soon
Something will save us
Will come to wake us up

As if this life is not enough..

I wonder if the star that exploded
and created the atoms of which I consist
is proud of the reincarnation
that has grown to presently exist

This life giving source
My Mother; this Earth
To whom we owe our lives
for the very possibility of birth.

Safe in our first moments
inside our Mother's womb
While our Mothers were safe within Hers
This Earth is a living entity
and we must protect the roots of truth
from which the gift of life occurs.
