Do you taste what I taste?
Sipping on our sweet cafe
Spicy nutmeg, sprinkle me
With all your flavors, sing to me
What your buds have held on to
Every flake of cold or warm
Thoughts of wonder, sadness flows
With every ponder, it must know
Shallow waters, dip your toes
Into the deep end, with me
Open closed doors
Surf away, in winds unknown
Till we fall and make a splash
Till we laugh, in arms we shall
Pry the past from my fingers
Kiss my bruised lips,
make softness last.

They say you can smell lemons before death
But I smell lemons everyday

They say friends are forever
But friends always leave

They say that lies are a sin
But they save feelings

They say that love is pure
But love is always *****

They say that you can smell lemons before death
But I smell lemons everyday

Your love is
mesmeric like
smoke rising off
the lake in the soft
moonlight.
gentle and tranquil.

Do you remember the day
when I became your Sun?
Shining so brightly
that my radiance
made your eyes go blind,
your brain fevered
with the heat
of my sunstroke.

Your blood boiled
simmering
to a high brew,
bubbling up
to the heart
where love mixed
emotion with hot blood.

You panted after me
as a deer pants
after the pure waters
of a babbling
mountain brook; and I was
poured through your hands,
tasted and savored
like a fine wine.

I was the crescendo
you built
with new rhythms,
the Sun radiating
infinitesimal
beams of love
through your soul.

Her eyes were fiery
While her lips peeled away
Her sun was setting
But her colors never fade
When she bites she is bitter
But when she smiles she is sweet
Like a nectarine emblem
She’s the fruit of life’s tree.
