Kanna: the tamil equivalent of the words baby/ sayang/ honey/ bunny/ sugarplum/ puffy yummy yum.

There is nothing sweeter than calling a loved one Kanna— the god of love, another name for Krishna.

Krishna's love encompasses the entire spectrum of this beautiful feeling – love for his foster mother Yashoda, for his brother Balaram, love for gopis and for Radha.

Imagine meeting someone so wholesome you want to call them Kanna.

I've never envied another woman
For her jewels or garments finely sewn,
But I can't conceal the envy I feel
Knowing she has love to call her own

To see her walking as though she had wings
On her feet makes me pause in wonder;
And hard though I try, I cannot deny
I envy this spell that she's under

Once an elderly couple caught my eye ---
A man and woman whose youth had flown,
But her countenance, in radiant trance,
Left no doubt his love was hers alone

What envy permeates my waking hours --
What vile winds across my heart have blown!
I don't ask for much - a man's tender touch,
Just a love that I can call my own

But lonely days and nights turned into years,
And O, how my restlessness has grown!
I fear I shall die without knowing why
I never had love to call my own

Every morning, on my way to work
I see this "old" man (in his seventies)
Walking his beloved wife to the bus stop
Her bag in his right hand
The other hand interlocked in hers

I smile right behind them
as they take step after step
talking to each other
I could hear the tone of love
in their voice
I never hear the words
(not my business I guess)

Their eyes would meet frequently
as they talk and walk
With smile blooming on their faces
I never tried to overtake them
'cause it's such a beauty to behold
A proof to me that love never gets old

At the stop sign,
He carefully places the bag back
in her hand,
followed by a short hug
Before turning his back
to head for their home

It's such a wonderful sight and
It has never failed to
leave me in awe every single time.

You
One look
I was consumed
Pulled into quicksand
I was burning
You devoured
Me

I
Gave all
Under heated touch
Dissolving into steam
I touched stars
Tied to
You

We
Crested peaks
with passion glow
How we were
Loving, living, young
Consumed with
Us

What happened, it happened
It happened, what happened?

LOVE bit me like a piranha
Stabbed my heart with an arrow
And steamed me to a pale white

LOVE exposed me with dark and light
Now I don't understand life
The good or bad between dark & light

My whole world seems up-side-down
Or is it down-side-up?
I was walking the wrong path of life
Your LOVE showed me
The right path of LOVE

What happened, it happened
It happened, what happened?

No storm now touches our tree
Our roots of LOVE
Go deep below the ocean-sea

We're not confused anymore
Now our tree touches the sky
Sheltering birds nesting within
Providing shade to tired life-travelers

When I am thirsty of YOU -
I dry my leaves

There is a fall every spring
And your LOVE rains on me
To sprout shoots and leaves within me

I bloom to colors and bear fruits
Your creeper weaves its web around me
To sow seeds of LOVE within me

What happened, LOVE happened
It happened, LOVE happened

BLOWBALL fluffs

Who has been able to change
These seeds of faith?

Scattered all over
Existing around
Blown in breeze
Those shining silver lines

Never-ending flights
Hopeful wishes of breath
Sounding wind chimes

Don't even try
To change these HONEYSUCKLES

The sadness that surrender
Of round joys that fall on souls

SWAMP MILKWEEDS are
Flowers under sunlit blues
Stars under moonlit skies

Hymns of solitude
Floating around

Always FREE flying
Outside personal prisons

Humans should not
Try to reform these JEWELWEEDS

Pride of LOVE
Carrying dreamZ
Of summer LOVE-Rz

Dandy-like...
Lioness with a mane
Adorning daisies within

Liberating caged passions
Beneath the blue skies

Into warm romances..
Sacred than God/dess

Rainbow colored
Burning LOVE of coolness

Blooming blossoming wishes
Frail in its vulnerability

Who nourishes these CANARY THISTLE?

Photosynthesis of two SOUL
Within core of it lives
A SOUL continent

Beyond day-dreamZ and
Borders of consciousness

Creating a paradise on earth
Of muses and creators

A born-BELOVEDz first wish
A dying-LOVERz last regret

Watch the garden grown
Of these STAGHORN SUMAC
Without presence of any seeds
Drifting in search of LOVE

So let's chase OXALIS
And harvest POKEWEEDS

We all are born with
The canticles of
TARAXACUM within

Make mine and yours sings
The SPIDERWORT Rhapsody

It always gets better
Riding a Dandelion puff

OUR MARSH MARIGOLD "LOVE"
