At the end of the day, much has been done
Some of it work, and some of it fun
But now is the time to lie down and sleep
Into my head all thoughts seem to seep

Abundant energy I have found
Enough to get up, to leap, to bound
But due to the time, to my bed I’m confined
And to all possible dreams I remain blind

As I lie I review my day
Thinking of things in a different way
But I do not tarry, quickly I move on
To days that are both short and long gone

Then I think of things not yet done
Making plans that seem to be jumping the gun
All this runs in circles through my head
As I shift uncomfortably in my bed

Soon I realize that part of what discomforts me
Is that you are not as close as I would like you to be
In fact I wish you were here to be a calming presence
To settle my brain, to give my breathing a gentle cadence

Were you here in my arms I know I would sleep
For I would have my love, as you have mine to keep
I would hold you close as if to ward off theft
Of you from my life, which would leave me bereft

Thank god I still have you in my life
Yet I am alone through this strife
All this thinking and wishing, leaves me feeling alone
For it all comes to nothing, but the emptiness has grown

Though all this I’m just trying to say
I love you, and miss you, and can’t sleep by the way
And this poem was written and thoroughly refined
By the errant thoughts of this restless mind

______________
Against the tides of the flowing river of tears,
You came to me, rowing a boat with no fears;
Inspiring and enhancing me in high sky hopes;
Chained me in your arms, by strong love ropes.
Then onwards, my days turned to be very smooth;
A life journey with you, hand in hand, so warmth;
_____________
Against the beams of the burning sun flames
You came to me, kissing my lips with no blames
With a cool power, prestige of your ****** pleasure;
Leaving within me, a gracing, glazing dawn to usher
Then onwards, my days turned to be very smooth;
A life journey with you, hand in hand, so warmth;
______________
Against the intense dark arrows of moonless nights;
You came to me, repeatedly with reflecting lights;
With a glimpse of your bountiful and beautiful look;
You held my body and mind as a whole, in a hook!
Then onwards, my days turned to be very smooth;
A life journey with you, hand in hand, so warmth;

To write about love
How I was right
About nothing of
The likes of dynamic
And the ways
Of the supersonic
Hearts and flowers
Mean nothing
When put against hot showers

Stop, go, keep on moving
I've never understood slow
How people could be so passive
Even though I am one of then
Afraid of that fateful leap
Too scared to jump
Too scared to stay still
But living inside of fear
Is hilarious when you can see the box
From miles and miles
Away

Have ye beheld (with much delight)
A red rose peeping through a white?
Or else a cherry (double graced)
Within a lily? Centre placed?
Or ever marked the pretty beam
A strawberry shows half drowned in cream?
Or seen rich rubies blushing through
A pure smooth pearl, and orient too?
So like to this, nay all the rest,
Is each neat niplet of her breast.

Rest in arms wide with care
Come rest your head
On a pillowed chest
I'll never let any harm come your way
Maybe I am lying
But I will try
Just don't leave me alone
Don't leave me to my demons
The voices in my head
Keep me safe
And let your voice
Drown out these eerie ones
Rest your shoulders
Burden me with your worries
I have more strength than you
I can be your rock
Let me grasp your anchor
Let me be the wind in your sail
Just never let me go

But I think it would be better for you if you did and just forgot me.

I look into your eyes
And the warmth of your love fills me,
The glowing heat of
Your angelic beauty.

I touch your skin
And am unable to breathe.
You've stolen the air from my lungs,
My heart stands still within me.

And when I kiss your perfect lips
Time stands still.
Warmth comes over me,
And at the same time, chills.

You take me to a place
Where only you and I exist,
A place of love and
Eternal bliss.
A poem I wrote about a year ago for a girl who will always hold a special place in my heart.
