Darkness, Darkness,
Everywhere.
Do I feel alone?
The thought of you in my mind,
Forget the hands around my throat,
Choking me,
Silently,
Without a sound.
I am shutting down..
From the lack of oxygen.
My vision blurs,
My hearing goes out,
My feeling starts to numb,
My lungs collapse,
And I stop breathing.
Shadows surround me.
Darkness, Darkness,
Everywhere.
Do I feel alone?
I am suffocating,
Hands around my throat,
Choking me,
The thought of you still in my mind,
Pain fades,
I wandered blindly,
I stumbled and fell,
Then I realized,
That I didn’t catch myself.
That the hands,
Around my throat,
Choking me,
Suffocating me,
Killing me,
Were my own.
Darkness, Darkness,
Everywhere.
I feel alone.
Hands around my throat,
So I let go,
Forgetting you for just a moment,
And Finally,
         I Began To
           Breathe..
A very old poem from 2013.

Let me bite off a guarded piece of your soul as payment
And I'll etch it's life into my song for you
I'll throw back my head and sing about your sorrows
Everything you've ever wanted
That never came true.

~Lycan

Veins are liars
Fallen moonlight conspires
And you're breaching the fires--
With lungs full of wires
Swapping pulses with swamp skin
And we have learned to fall in----

~Ahkira**

"I want you to go listen to her sing and tell me who you think she's singing about."
It's time for Wolf Girl to sing for her fallen friend
Two souls alike wandering in the night
I hated this
I didn't want to hurt you
But you wouldn't stop
"Stop, please wait. I just want to talk." I called out to you
You turned your head to look back at me
     "Why should I?"
I wanted to scream it to the stars
     Because I love you.
I just lowered my gaze
     "We need to talk."
"I don't want you to hurt me." Your voice was barely above a whisper
    Neither do I.
I took a step closer
But you retaliated in fear
"Stop now Lycan! I can't do this." You yelled
It stung
"Careful, you're treading on ice" I lowered my voice to a growl
"You wouldn't do anything. I know you. You're predictable"
Plunge the knife into my back an twist
"I'm anything but." I couldn't cage this anger.
You laughed, in a sad sorrowful way, but it was colder than anything I've ever encountered.
"You're just waiting to be tamed, right?"
Snap, snap

I looked straight into your eyes, which were now bursting with the reflected gold of my own.
"Run." I whispered. Only seconds where left.
    "Why?" You didn't understand.
"Run for your life, Rin." I was struggling now
Fear dawned on you. You turned tail and ran.

"The ice just broke." I whispered to myself

Before beginning the chase.
Set me off why don't you

Turnin' in the grain again
The bells began to charge
Time she sangs
There's no turin' back
Keep your eyes on the track
Through the fields
Somewhere there's blue
Oh time will tell
She'll see us through
Burdens this eve*
Beware deadly hours filling filthy hope
Words like stars falling back into the universe
We'd seen old wolves hanging
Trees breaking in the wind
Howling their sorrow for a friend
Paper turns sour when the nightmares are written
And lust sleeps in secret with my teeth
Rotten swears and shallow mistakes
Stoke a little higher
Slipping the distance forges a harder degree
So tell me
Am I a worthy piece?
Uh I dunno, a bored and quick write
Only dragon-fire is enough to melt gold

Good thing she's my dragon
And my heart is made of gold
Three gold rings
                    Melted into ink
So I could pour my love
                                                                     Into my scribes

*And maybe hand out a few
Greed had bled it's last lie
In it's depths I've seen it chunder
I've always enjoyed the thought
Blood will flow onto these cold bricks
Copper pennies drop in the fountain
But float on the waterline
I've been waiting for this massacre
They call me 'Jack the Ripper'

*I can't stay here any longer
I constantly think out a future that will never be.
Silver hollow bones have been felt
                       Longer in the roaring depths
The lightest of souls melt into the rings
                       Rings forged from winter's whines
Hostile flakes pretend to care
                       Youthful frost leave us brittle
Weakened yet pure,
                        Where will that leave us?
