You complete my life.

You make me a better man.

When I think of the future,

all I see is you;

Your velvet touch,

Your loving eyes,

your soothing voice,

your nurturing concern.

You by my side, facing the storms of life, together.

We may face difficulties,
but I will never lose my patience;

because for once in my life,

I realise that I've found the one person,

so genuine,

so true,

so selfless.

I will always think of your needs before my own.

I will never leave you alone.

I will walk by your side;

I will not let you fall.

I love you.

a trip across Europe
we would sit
on a train
taking us
                                      far
away.
my head would lean against your shoulder
as we
listen to music
until I
fall asleep

the train goes faster
through the fields and the marsh and the mist and the cities and the sky
it takes us
                                 far
across this corner of the world
as you
read me stories of the empires that once traversed these lands
how they came to be
how they fell
socio economics
and all the things that tickle you pink as the sweet pea flowers growing
                              far
as you can see throughout the meadow.

our fingertips rest against on top of each other
the train goes faster
the train goes faster
the train goes faster
and

I wake up
I have not seen Europe from the window of a train
and  I have not seen you, lately
you are
after all
quite
                         far
away.

We would all be better dancers,
if we tried not to step on ants.

We would all be better singers,
if we spoke about what matters.

We would all be better painters,
if we held hands with a gentle grip.

We would all be better poets,
if we put our souls on paper.

Hmm
I was going
to say something profound
but I forgot it
something about life
and how not
to live in bitterness
to forgive or at least forget
I wish I could remember it.

I sat in the grass, under the sun, and found a tiny bug in my hair.
It was orange with a gray **** and itsy bitsy wings.
It did not fly away when I picked it up, but it just roamed aimlessly on my hand.
What shocked me was that I couldn't feel the bug at all,
not even when it hiked over my individual finger hairs.
I watched it walk like it had a purpose,
and looked at the way my porcelain skin divided into the colors of the rainbow in the sunlight.
And then I realized, not for the first time, that the universe can't even feel me on it's hand.

DON'T BE AFRAID
To fall from the sky.
BE THE FIRST
Raindrop of many.
Because even though your puddle MAY LOOK SMALL AT FIRST,
You can create OCEANS.

Friends are flowers in the garden of life,
In spring bloom as husband or wife.
An addition to family,
Until the very end,
No flaw too great, for a lifelong friend.
The rose she was pretty,
But needed much on her platter.
The tulip, he said, dis'proved of the matter!
And so they wilted, both in different lines,
'Til they finally crossed,
When the sun had to shine.
The rose she realized,
Had enough to carry.
The tulip he said, all beauty varies.
And so they grew on, until their very end.
No flaw too great, for a lifelong friend.
this poem doesn't really make sense, I wrote it years ago but I like how it sounds
