Have you ever felt like your barley treading water
Or maybe that your body is being consumed by the ground you once stood on
The cocoon that your being wrapped up in is your defense mechanism to fight off your insecurities
Once you emerge like a butterfly does when it's ready
You will spread your wings, show your beautiful and vibrant colors and show the world your transformation into something new
Never doubt the crossroads of life and the fractured walkways your come across
In the end you will become a bigger and better person as you soar to your own destiny

We all face hardships

When I open my mouth not a sound comes out
I can't speak for there is no more reason for me to talk
The music plays in the background and my heart fills with joy
Suddenly it makes sense to try to make a sound
The vibration in my head and in my throat begin to shake
I close my eyes, lift my head and the soundtrack to my life begins to pour out of me
No one can hear me when I talk
But when the noise becomes music to everyone ears
I am loud
I am proud
I am the lyrics to my own thoughts and life struggles I have been through
Words do not form when I talk but the lyrics to ones own sound is the music to thy owns life

A quickie in the morning
Is what we deserve
5 minutes and it was done
But at last it was fun

A triggered mind sets off the spark for the flame to ignite without even having a candle to burn

Oh look
Here we go
Another round of snow
Falling from the sky
Piling up so high
When will we say goodbye
To winters end
Oh wait
It’s just the beginning
Of winter storm warnings
How many days until spring again?

Taking a moment for yourself
Listening to all the noises from the outside world
As your thinking of nothing in particular you look to the sky and see the suns rays beaming through the clouds
You take a photograph of a still memory that you think "just looks cool"
Later to realize, that something in particular you weren't thinking about, really was something
A loved one from heaven was sitting with you in that moment you took for yourself
Was that warm breeze a hug from them?
Was that butterfly a kiss from them?
Either way you weren't alone and never will be
Your loved ones surround you and will guide you always
Even in that
"Moment you took for yourself"

I generally write on the spot
With no rhyme or reason why
Filling a blank page
With what I feel inside

Stepping onto a scale and seeing the numbers go down is one thing but feeling the invisible weight being lifted off of you is even bigger knowing the stress is gone

Daydreaming
Head in the clouds
Rising with the sun
Sliding down a rainbow
After a sudden down pour of rain
Landing on the beach
Is my happy place
While I sit back and relax
Writing poems for days
My little friends will join me
Seashells, Palm trees and little lizards too
Warmth of the sun from high in the sky
I got my head in clouds
Daydreaming of a good time for once in my life...

Always been rough around the edges
Like a thorn on a blooming rose
Flourishing and growing
Ever changing colors of life
Yet not losing my strength of heart
That was once a seed planted in the ground

You may be standing on solid ground but as long as you continue to walk, the path will continue for you

Encased by frozen waters
Drowning deep within
Hitting solid ice
Sinking further into sin
Trying to catch my breath
Focus in this blurriness
Dropping further to the bottom
Losing my willingness
To stay afloat
Be coherent

A place we frequent often
A place that we love
A place of laughter
A place of fun
A place to dance
A place to drink
A place for friends
A place that felt safe...
A night of fun and dancing had begun
Laughter filled the air
No a worry or a care
When a senseless act took place
Leaving people running for shelter or somewhere safe
Shots were fired
Many were wounded
Others weren’t so lucky, losing their lives
The safe place we call “home” went up in shambles right before our eyes
Silence grew upon the night as many were left wondering why?
Why this place, why us, why now?
We came out for a night of fun and it turned so foul
We are now left here in tears and shock
Wishing we could turn back the time on the clock
Grievance now will take place as our safe zone of drinks and laughter has now been darkened on this tragic night

Climb aboard and take a ride
We soar high above the sky
Looking at the stars flying by
Soaring across the Milky Way
Just close your eyes and say
I’ve got this, my future awaits
Guide me to where I’m meant to be
I bow my head and pray
I’m thankful for my life everyday

When you know in your heart that a goodbye is soon to happen to your pet... not ready but know it’s soon....

Wanting something so bad
Yet being hopeful
Feeling rejected
With each passing month
Being so thankful
For what I have
But the one thing I can’t
Is completely unbearable
Some people just don’t understand
It’s hard to express into words
How I feel about certain things
This ways heavy on my heart
Knowing it’s not in my hands
Unfortunately, I can’t change that

When I hear you calling
From across the way
Letting me know
All is okay

Why are people bully’s?
Why is there hate?
Different opinions and views
Everyone has
But why can’t we all just listen
And
RESPECT
The differences we all have....

Our life can often be as a pinwheel spinning in the wind....
....Slow and steady....
.... Fast and furious....
....Often changing directions during its cycle...
....Bright and colorful....
....Plain and dull.....
....So is the days of our lives....

Our stories may be similar
The end result the same
But the journey for all us
Is a different game
We all played
Never being one in the same...

I don’t know you or what your going through
Loosing your baby is something a Mother should never have to do
A careless act of using your phone
Took the precious life of my baby so young
The pain in my heart ripped out from my chest
Now I feel like I have nothing left
Having to bury my baby at such a young age
Never having a chance to grow up and follow her dreams
My life will go on and I’ll get by
My little girl has gained her wings and is  now flying sky high

Making memories
Belly laughing
Reminiscing stories
Car rides
Patio sitting
Watching movies
Cat playing
Chinese food
Dunkin’ Donuts
New Hope
Wedding bells
B and B
Family time
Starbucks guy
Good times

But now it’s time to say goodbye
To our family
Here’s to next time to making more memories

When we say “ until next time”

That isn’t fun or right

Social media sometimes blows
When your friends show their true colors
But yet suddenly you know

So alone in a crowded room
I will cut everyone out of my life so soon
Do what you want
Say what you please

At least some people actually accept me...
