Abigail Sedgwick
It's a slow, cruel death
on a dark moonless night.
It's a black-eyed raven,
whose dark feathers gleam bright.

It's a sadness that is
oh so big and deep and wide.
It's a poor blind man,
on a journey with no guide.

It's a heavy, darkened mind
with intentions far from good.
It's an evil, ugly face
shadowed by a hood.

Our paths may be different
We may go different ways
But I'm here to help you
I'm here today
He would appear and disappear
without a sound
Would stare at the stars
all night long
Sleep on the cold desert floor
Eat peyote buds
and sing war songs
He was rich
in all the nothing he had
Identified as a thunderbird
The animal spirits
were sacred in his world
Asked about gold
and he would scorn
Holding up water
the most precious
in all forms
I called him Navaho
        NO !
Call me Dineh !
So I did
Navaho is the name given to the Dineh by the illegal immigrants from Spain , England and other European nations .

Stranger Blue
I want to leave this place,
find somewhere else in which to live.
For I've given here all I have to give.
Find a place I belong,
In a new and happy song.
I could sing about the night,
How the moon in full glory shines so bright.
I would sing about the rain,
How it washed away my tears of pain
and led me to the other side where skies are blue.
That's all i can do...
to not let this world ruin me.
The words came I let them be...if they make no sense to you please forgive me.

I look deeper into the mirror
Hatred is all I see
Perhaps despair also in reflection
So I  resolve to change
Scratching
Clawing
Pulling
Pushing
Biting
Clutching
Tearing
Enflaming
Ripping

To shed this skin
And stand beyond my nakedness in front of you
When we hurt the ones we love. We dig a deeper hole
