Sacrelicious
I felt your envious eyes,
whisper tales of my true rank in life.
Untouchable, the dirt you wouldn't
grace your spit with.

A well fabricated quilt of lies.
To smother my heart and hold it
captive in the fires.
Of pure narcissism and self hatred.
Long after you left me here.

May our souls both find their peace.
Respectfully and may our hearts as dark and broken as they may be.
Mend themselves in the warmth, love and truth of the Sun once more.

i have given in
to the soft crackle of old vinyls
harmonizing with the
rain tapping on my window;
it is a song unlike any other,
the lyrics engrained into my mind
and the rhythm in time with my heartbeat,
slow and steady

i am bathed in the glow
of scented candles and
strings of lights
strung up between windows and doors and open drawers;
wrapped in vanilla and white light,
enveloped in warmth
and drenched in dimly lit happiness

i am alone but never lonely;
on nights like these i lay awake
in sync with the crackle of vinyl
the soft patter of rainfall
the flickering of tiny flames
and the peace i have found
in simplicity.

Mom nothing will happen. I know my way through a crowded bar. The glances wear off, sooner than the cheap makeup.
Waiting for you to come back kid

I use to ponder why so much pain for me Lord?
Now, today, I think I finally comprehend.
My band aids are symbols of survival.
My pain silences cries of Death & plays a cheerful symphony with the essence of revival.
Look in my soul and see my pain.
See my retries & see my faith. Find the sunshine In my rains.
You can either use your distress, or waste it.
