They say there was a river feeding North Africa
the Nile’s dark twin
imagining the rolling grasslands of the Sahara
and the life therein
but all that’s left of the cloud breaks and the gentle herds
is a shadow
seen from a satellite, dark lines in the golden sand
not seen below
and I remember reaching for you

Where do things unsaid go, are they part of the ether, if so, probably the largest part for sure

Seems like a day to wash away scares;
Seems like a day to relieve cares;
Seems like a day to drift on clouds;
Seems like a possibility;
Just to be, to behave without despair.
A cooling, resting , no care December day.

Ash
you shape my waking hours
I try to pick a nice perfume
I make sure I leave early
I look around just to see you for a fleeting moment
and I smile when I do

I pace just to daydream of you
your hands on my hips, your lips on mine
I turn the lights off early
and as I drift off to sleep, I pretend I’m in your arms

I could scream it from the rooftops
(if it weren’t a secret)
you’re my muse, you’re my one wish
I want you, and only you
I'm just a junkyard dog.
Old scars tell my story.
I'm left water and scraps.
Alone in the dark I sleep
and dream of a better life
and love with *******
I smell beyond fences,
Love just out of reach.

Don't begrudge those who abandoned you for no reason. They couldn't bear seeing your good fortune, and it wasn't because of your nature.

I also get sun exposure.
Everyone can see me clearly.
Human sight makes distinctions, not light
