Soft Radiance,
Lambent light
in the distant  air of June,
Guiding us into the night.

There was a feeling, a longing
of what could be, Us drifting
Free,  through the veil
unseen,
Wavering, wild eyes longing to
Leave  in June.

Ride high into the
Monsoon,  soft air blowing us
Away from This place, this lambent light
On the darker side of June.

Soft radiance, lambent light
In june. Daydreams rush to me, like
Distant Shores unseen, Visions
On the dark side of June,

Of what
could have been,
of what almost was,
but did not Bloom.

Dark star
love of mine
I pray nightly
in hopes
you find
the strength
to shine

My dreams
my nightmares
collide as one,
awakening me
amidst these dark times

The open, vast road
to freedom calls to me
as the raven rises
once more, singing his
bleak tunes

Escaping into the
delusions, dizzied by
the unknown
When the time
comes, I'll be ready
to answer the call

Languid limbs sprawled out
between the reckless desires
of night passing

Hour by hour my
heart further submerges
into a toxic potion

infinite desires
cross my mind
for I am merely
a mortal in this unearthly
existence

My eyes set in stone
on the daybreak dream
and the wind cries
for me to escape
into the rolling waves
azure blue, azure blue

The night
and what it
does to a soul

Love
and what it does
to a heart

it's dark by 5 pm
my kettle whistles
the tea is steaming
evaporating what was
never there
my mind is reeling
the tv is loud,
his pale hands are
touching my skin
cold to the bones,
I miss the sunlight,
and the trees
I long to go home
his eyes are forlorn

The darkness
Settles in,
seeps
Into the room
By five pm,

My mind is bent,
The time is bent.

Clocks set an hour
Ahead,
My kettle whistles
The tea
Is steaming
Evaporating
What was never
There,
What could
Never stay,

My mind is reeling,
The tv is loud,
His pale hands
Touch my skin,
Cold to the bones.

I miss the sunlight,
and the
Trees.

I long to go home,
my
eyes
are forlorn.

Daydreams lost in
a clouded
haze of delirium

Sin tastes like
gilded gates
of heaven opening
at golden hour

Chalice filled
to the brim awaits us
we are always drinking
poison

You're eyes are
dark as the ravens
whom fly amidst
the midnight sky

Delirium of endless nights
and endless lost highways
we ride

angels didn’t come to sing
That night
When i was all alone
By the desolate shore
When i was all alone
With the midnight sky

Feeling like the end was near
Feeling like there was no
Laughter left to hear

Angels didn’t come to
Sing that night
I found your dark shadows
Trick my light

No light on the pier
No angel near

Only I
And a desolate shore
And the midnight sky

Desolation. Winding Roads.
Last winter’s sadness
Has reverberated back around.
A heavenly melody, a dark sound.

You never stay long enough
For me to finish a poem. You never create
A space for me to call home.
Never a place to call my own.

Desolation.
Abandoned homes.
Old haunts. hometown bars.
Last years christmas lights strung on
a wooden fence.

Desolation. Winding roads.

All I wanted
was a place to call home.

My withering lover,
our paradise seems
so distant with each
passing day.

Your paradise
shines dark blue
and entangles you
in the trappings
of your mind

My paradise shines
bright blue
and shines through
the stars in the sky
to reach the divine

Oh withering love,
our paradise
looks so different
with each passing day.

Scouring
Around
The edges
Of town
With killers
In the night
Madness prevailed
In the house of sin

& Chaos
Delight
Far out my mind
Crystal clear

Dismiss me
Gently
Speak to me
Softly
Tell me now
If you don’t
Want me
Before my mind
drifts away
With visions
of us
On a crisp
Winter’s day
Whisper now
Tell me please
Put my unsettled thoughts
At ease

Infinite waters, we dive deep
for we are the protectors of everlasting
light & light we must seek
The others may dabble in the
dark,
fear not they will reap
what they sow & stay down below
for in these infinite waters
of love & light
we dive deep

Wandering gaze
guided to the burn
of the flame
drawn to it
like a moth
oh, what a shame

For it burns slow
so very slow
a reminder
of his

comes &
it comes slow

A higher purpose
is at play
of this I know

Planting seeds
in my garden of electric
dreams
Tend to me
& my tattered seams
For I unravel slowly
in bright blue streams
the wicked ones
shall reap what they sow
A bitter garden
mustn't grow
so inhale purity,
inhale it slow
white&gleaming
in the snow

My elusive baby
is famous in my mind
he ain't too easy to find
maybe around the bend
where sun do shine
& love is free- boundless
yet divine
you can find him
writing his lines,
biding my time
& bending the mind

Falling embers burning bright
and dying slowly, as am I

The days melt into the
nights like candle wax

Dark iris lit up beneath
the radiant moon

Your eyes are voltaic
and lead me nowhere

The trees are barren and
the sky ominous

We may get it right in the next
lifetime
Samantha Cunha Jun 2020
I am an ephemeral spirit
Turning off the daunting light
In your hallway of wicked dreams

You come to me to enchant
Your desires, and leave with unraveling
Velvet seams

When the smoke rises high in the midnight
Blue sky, and the moon howls and cries
Come find me where the music is haunting
& the love daunting

Energy surpasses
Space and time
It breaks down the barriers
Of the conscious mind
You got that
Electric energy
I hoped to find
So close to God
I kiss
The divine

Like swaying winds, I come & go
Ephemeral poetess, Down the crooked
path and winded road.

You may see me on a cool blue day,
but like most beauty,

I am not rooted
enough to stay.

You could call my name
and let it roll of your tongue,
you could talk to the
ethers, and summon
the sun,

Like rolling tides,
I come, but don't stay,
so when you here the wind,
you too, can sway.

An epiphany -
cool & blue.

nothing on the other
side of town tonight.

Christmas lights made
me feel lonely last Tuesday.

you seem vast -
& there's nothing beneath it, like
looking for gold in an abandoned sea.
You- more
of an abyss of nothingness.

An epiphany last tuesday
nothing on the other side of town
your eyes
vacant

We crash
violently
into one another
like two waves
erratic
in the sea
I had to
question
my attraction
to the chaos
& what
that said
about me

Crystalized visions as I stand
tall in the eye of the storm

Look what they did
to me, for I
am savaged, broken,
and torn

Blood trickles
from my legs
like dripping juice
from rotten peaches

I am silent amidst
the red sun rising
as I stand tall
in the eye of the storm

Look what they did to me
mother, I am broken and torn

We sin only to confess
Reverberation of church bells
In a lonesome alley

Fading Skyline
while you mainline

We had it that night
We lost it just as fast
Fast
Like racing cars
Down sunset blvd and vine
Fast
Like my breathing
As you hold me close
As  my thighs shake
Fast

We had it that night
We lost it just as fast
Vast
Like the sea i swim in alone
Vast
Like the stars i hum to in hopes
Of something more
We had it that night
And lost it just as fast
For some things
Some names
Can’t be held on too for too long
Some palm trees sway towards
Another direction
Another wind

I had you that night
& I lost you
Just as fast

You held a field of dreams
By the bedside lamp
To galvanize these nights
Tucked away in a wooden drawer

There are some whom never
Held a twinkle in their eyes
Whom never gazed to heaven
Wondering why

We belong to a different
Sort of sky, a two toned
Sky, with darkness
And vast light

Fields and endless
Dreams tonight
Let’s gaze beyond to wonder
Why, musings of the other side

Fields of dreams outline
Tonight as we wander
With heaven nigh

Forbidden fruit

Tasted sweet

Mystical moon

Guiding me

Into the realm

of

Foggy dreams

Nothing was

What

it seemed

The same

hand

Grazing

Leading me

Was also cursing

beating me

Smoky quartz

Day dream

I fell for the tricks

of the fiend

I love all the places
forgotten, where
the crevices reveal
an ancient truth in
between
the cob webbed lined
artifacts of time past
and time present
melting together
as one

I love all the places
forgotten
where the souls
haunt the dimly
lit hallways of the
dive bar with vermillion
booths, and sacred
gold mirrors on Sunset
and vine

I love all the people
forgotten whom
held a dream
& lost it in
the evading daydream
with stories to tell
of time past
and time present
merging as one

I love all the places
and people forgotten
for so am I
from time to time
