Fear the wind goodbye
Shoelace strings and rubber bands
Streetlights flicker dark
On cloudless moonlit nights
When the world is silver and darkest blue
And silence seems to reign supreme
If you stretch your hearing inwards
You will hear the distant moans
Of long lost lonely dreams
Homeless and obsolete
Fading away
To become endless shadows

                                           By Phil Roberts
This Jellyfish that floats along
trying to confidently stay strong
is distinctly sad, so often it feels like
it could just sting itself,
but it does *not.

It floats along.
Railway sleeper
For a bed
With hollowed
Back buttocks
Heel and head:-

We like to think
Life precedes death

Why?

Does sleep precede
Awakening

Dream the real

Reality the ideal?

Before existence,
Prior
Existence a blow,
And afterthought
Of universal flow:-

Freight train coming

Lift torso from
Timber chamber
And move

Move on

Move
Sleep over
Exists first light

Then dawn
Melancholy moments are weathered upon features,
furrows of my dejection descend from what'd
evaporated now condensed in droplets of sorrow.

Caustic thoughts sting upon reflections merging
before me, drowning within contemplation.
I see more in the rain than others see in a lifetime.
44 words
do you ever feel lonely?
they say that it's healthy
but I'm unsure of that.
Despite my liking alone time
too much of it can hurt me.
It makes me feel so lost, and empty
until my tears fall endlessly.
After crying I usually find solace,
but this time I just want to cry more.
Which makes me feel *pathetic.
Tiny fragments
of me
now exist
within you,

They reside
in your memories;
we've made
more than a few.

Tiny fragments
of you
now exist
within me,

They remain
in my heart
indefinitely;
in my soul infinitely.
