I**  Miss  You
in bloodshot eyes
and
splintered regrets

Stellar
Do you ever just stare
at a space of nothingness
then your heart starts to cringe
and all of a sudden
you felt  vulnerable,
you felt  human

DO  *YOU?

Stellar
I sink
I fall
I stumble
He reaches for my hand,
Pulls me out of the devil's claws

I cheat
I steal
I lie
He listens to my false reasons,
Forgives more than a million times

I swear
I blame
I curse
Sure He is stabbed and hurt
Yet He willingly embraces all flaws and dirt

I cry
"I give up"
"I give in"
He lifts me up, carries me home to a place I've never seen

God's  Not  Dead
He's  surely  *alive
a poem i made right after watching the movie God's not dead

hello
years
 Jul 2014 Michael Amery
hello
eventually something turns us
in a certain direction
eventually someone comes
and divides our attention
we are not attentive
we are not paying any mind
to the rule board
we are diving in shallow water
and when our brains spill
wonder why we got this way
what made me this way
who made me this way
when did i become
this
this blood is my fault
i had a choice
and i choose that road
that person
and a hospital setting
shows up and knocks
sense back into you
it never left though
you are not harmless
inflicting those thoughts
but there is masking tape
and staples right over there
anything you might need
to stick it back together
you havent known asthma
until the ring is on her finger
instead of yours
you were never diagnosed anyways
you are not the avalanche
but the innocent tree
just standing there
and the stupid squirl
that always runs into traffic
that is you
that is me
learn to be wise
learn to meditate
on your own
learn to learn
and learn to live
because i have failed many tests
but the semester is continuing
dont drop out
please.
One day, if all that is left of me
are words scribbled across a page,
I shall not feel lost or shamed,
But, feel bodied within this poetry.

Poetic T
If love was like magic
Could I spell it in to my heart,
Would the words be permanent
Or would the magic fade
Slowly from a heart,
If I could do hocus pocus, a hint of this,
Feelings,
Laughter,
Closeness,
Heart,
Would you drink the potion,
Would you "throw it up"
Would you keep it down,
"Drunk on love"
Falling over in to my heart,
I want the magic,
For it to be sprinkled in our hearts
But the only magic that works is
*I LOVE YOU WITH ALL MY HEART

Wanderer
Restless*
This summer skin grown tight
I stretch, breathing in three a.m.
Coating my lungs with the promise
Of your early morning smile
To think it is not only earth, ocean
But also time that separates us
Different planes of existence
Both aching with it's unyielding strength
Wishing on stars as they plummet
Kissed too hard by gravity's lust
Burn you up with hopeful flames
Licking at your vulnerabilities
Time will tell, as it always does
The story of our struggle
Laced with sweetness and smiles
Lessons learned but be this the greatest
"No matter how long it takes, no matter how far. I will find you."

Your appreciation
Means more to me
Than any gift in return
