Lights all around.
Swirls of color
Under the sun.
An iridescent luxury
For joyous parade.
Ripples of emotions
Translating into
A chromatic tale.
Pass me some sunshine.
Under the rainbow,
This life is wonderful
Hill tops sprayed with fairy dust
Lights aglow among the firefly mist
Trickles of water from the ageless spring
Thirst for adventure
I have a wander lust.
Look up to the sky
See prickles of light
And crystals hanging by
Some invisible thread.
Dance lightly
Under the star lit sky
A slow ballad
For our ballroom dancing.
Hear your slow breathing
Feel your arm around me
Hear your heart beat flutter
This touch of fantasy.
Twist and turn
And sway to your side,
Gently moving
Through our dreamscape.
Open my eyes
What dreams I paint,
There we lie
Underneath the star lit sky.
The wind in my hair and
Your chocolate brown mane.
The lights of some faraway city
Nothing brighter than our sky.
This cold winter's night
Lets forget the cruel world.
Under the cover of stars,
Tell me your story
I'll tell you mine.
Lace and silver
Their eyes you drew.
Malicious, but lovely
Their guilt you grew.
Tempt me, they cry
Plunging into their hearts.
Now, they call
The temptress,
Your smile so wile.
The wind blows this way,
Silence of the night keeps me sane.
The truth, I sit and ponder
As my life beats away.
Too many moments forgotten in pain,
Undocumented, unwanted,
Shelved in some corner
No one to care.

Listening to the wind blow
Rustling leaves and banging windows.
This mind of mine has wandered too far.
The world, I shunned
The people I left.
Maybe another soul,
Who'd love to join me
As I walk this realm
Unchained and free.
There's a painting that hangs at the end of the corridor
A woman in black smiles through her tears
A child by her side holding on to her hand, fear in his eyes.
I feel their eyes on me, everytime I walk past the scene
I wonder what plight the woman tried hiding beneath that veil
The plight, her son, his demons they awoke from a medieval slumber.
The mystic charm in her artificial smile
Her cheeks glazed with tears and agony
The son squirming under an aching burden
His pale skin has its own story.

My curiosity killed another cat
I stare at myself when I look at the mother
My son still holding on to his dear life, never left my side.
That man who walked in at the dead of night
May have fouled our bodies and spilled our blood
But he left our souls tormenting these halls at night.
I float across the corridor, my son beside me
Towards the painting resting against the trapdoor
Dawn has come, the light pouring in through the shattered window.
Till the moon rises, in to our paintings we disappear.

Slumber is short, our eyes always watching
Next time you walk through these halls going about your own life
Our eyes will follow, In a pendulum dive.
Stuck.. In an ever changing world of emotions
There's so much more to life than just breathing in and breathing out.
The flaccid truth of a non ending endeavor
Your demons have molded you into an unrecognizable ally
Looking in to the mirror, there's no more hint of recognition of self
Lost in a swirling blur of contradictions.
Mask-like and permanent, your face has given up on reactions
You're here on an endless search for an unknown entity
And yet you forget to look in the one place where the answer lies
Your self... Your mind... Your actions.. Your deeds.
You are what the world makes you
But remember that the world can be what you make of it.

Here you are, wandering like a poor soul
Your image has lost its divinity
The one you built in pretence of some hope of a better world.
You forget to dance to the most familiar of tunes
You forget what you believe in
You forget that there were doors held open for you, once
You forget that your life has purpose.
Its past bedtime.
All I can feel is
My head writhing
Inside out.
Trying to lie still
But what hits you harder
Than a broken wing?
Shadows loom like
Ghostly taunts of lost days.
A knife on my back
His taste on my lips.
Some long forgotten love
Threw me to hell.
Eyes open, mind awake
The nightmares
Even then haunt.

Voices from within the grave
A light not seen for
A hundred years.
This box encased around me
Imprisoned and locked
Away from the ordinary folk .
The religious charms and
Superstitious trinkets
The false belief of security.
No intentions to be a scare
But I can't help myself.
This itching ache in my breast
All I want right now is
For someone to put me back
To my eternal rest.
When did this light start to fade?
There was a certain spark of hope.
Somewhere along the way, we lost.
To the world we gave up our dreams.
Devouring, unquenchable thirst for the unknown
Questions of what lies beyond the horizon .
Did you feel ourselves give away?
I etch my life on a piece of paper
Nothing seems to make sense.
You were there,
Transient but still significant .
I could have sworn the best part of me
Was you.
Now when there's only room for doubt
All I can ask is
How did I lose you?
Out it comes
Into the light.
Glistening and sparkling,
Little beads.
Down the side
Her grief, it carries.
The fake smile can lie,
Not the corners of her lips,
They tell a different story.
Little by little
It makes its way
That trail erased by time
But essence still remains.
Down it goes
And meets the earth
With her story.
And that was how,
She shed a tear
