For you I'd climb the highest mountain
I'd sail the roughest sea
But when the sun sets in the west
I'm not sure you'd do the same for me
This is an old draft
Guess I was right

once i knew a girl
whose pale skin stood out like a sore thumb in a crowd
who always wore the biggest sweaters
and had pen ink all over her palms
she fell in love with a boy who made her heart stop
and froze the circulation in her veins.
she liked to think that her shoulder blades were wings
and everyone laughed
but there was no humour
when it all came to an end
and she shattered.

I want back what I have lost.
To be whole once more,
To find the piece that fits.
I can't feel much;
But what I can,
Is just enough
To get up again.
The hope that tomorrow,
I'll find someone new,
To help me place the pieces;
To show me love again
Who are you to determine who is ugly and who is pretty?
We are all beautiful and handsome.
It's how we carry ourselves as people
and what we choose to put out into the world that should matter.

There is a group on Facebook that I was added to called "No Ugly People Allowed." I denied the invitation because I think it's wrong to judge people based on how they look.

She was like a rain;
Pouring real hard while you drink your hot moist coffee.
You never really liked the rain,
nor love it even.
She made a thunder
while you try to keep her from breaking.
Driving back and forth
to realize that you just keep on coming and going.
She’s drizzling
while you try to make her yours to keep.
But one thing you phantom,
you can never stop a hurricane from breaking things;
from breaking your own.
