Rest to my sins
William Conway Jun 2018
Rain, small drops ever so quite but ever so loud
Rain, the washing of the earth so she might shine
Rain, ever matching my heart beats
Rain, to comfort and smooth the lost soul to peace
Rain, as a mother cry’s for her chid, never to know she would out live him
Rain, the slow wash of the sprite who seeks forgiveness only to find failures in its wake
Rain, it comes and gose just as I come and go within this life for that I welcome it.

Sometimes the only pay off
For haveing any faith
Is when it’s tested again, and again every day.

Smoke
William Conway Aug 2018
Time in and time out, always in a rush trying to do everything all at one time, never slowing down to see the smoke and fire they are starting. The signs always pointing in the right direction, but you always want to go the wrong opposite way. Trying to prove that your way is always right, but is sadly wrong!
With smoke riseing like a cigarette burning, as I watch, I wonder how much more it will take before, like all sparks in a dry forest, set into flames and the end will leave destruction and pain.

Not a sound
William Conway Jun 2018
Miles of open and I feel stuck in place
No noise, not a word spoken, nor heard
Mind drifts, as the wind carry’s, it like the birds
With one step in front the other, you let it float
Until there is nothing but slince
..... true peace.

In The End
William Conway Aug 2018
I came, saw, and conquered bunt in the end had second thoughts.
Through all that time I lost friends and family, but many of those hands kept me afloat. As I came, I lived like there was no tomorrow, but tomorrow came.
I saw, a want to be heroine but just a plain Jane.
I conquered, as it was an outcast pick last, surprised them all.
But with all the fame and fortune, in the back of my mind said,” it was worth it I think?”
For I was and now I am not

A speck
William Conway Jun 2018
As the light seeps through
Break apart the darkness
In my mind I’m still there
The smell, the touch all to real
To see it again I would give it all
But like the soldiers in the trench took the fall
And like the foot prints in the sand
I wash away left for the wonders of ozz

One day
William Conway Jun 2018
They say seeing is believing, what happens to the blind man?
Put your faith in a higher power, what is power?
Forgiveness of sin that you knew was wrong, never forgiven.
Lost in the dark with no light or guide, judgment.

Depths of love
William Conway Jun 2018
Down, like the bottom of a chest
Down, like the agreeing of a friend
Down, like the deepest part of the sea
Down, to the depths of hell
Down, to the rocks that wait
Down, into the black emptiness of eternity
Down, to the bottom of the bottle
Down, to the 6ft where dust lie
Down, for you and only you
And that is true love.
