In a desolate world that I am wrapped in
Where else could I find light but from within.
On starlight road.
Blue neon star sign blinks.
On my way out of this world.
Off a cliff and slingshot past the moon.

On the other side of the twilight.
I meet with you.
We walk the bridge of shadows.
Over the river of light.

Tomorrow songs.
Played on yesterday's light strings.
Lyrics of time.
And melodies of dreams.
Beyond this world and the next.
The five of them were ready.   Below the overcast they flew elegantly in formation.  Armed with weapons that would soon burn away all life on this Planet.  So that they may start all over.  They were not of this world.  But had been living in it for over 300 years.  At last the time had come to completely rid all life here.   They flew above the overcast and into the blue sky.  The sun shined above.  It was there they were met by a strange being.  The sun above was no sun at all.  But the very being that waited for them. His armor glowed and shine like the sun giving the illusion that there were two suns in the sky.  He then spoke.  " I know what you are going to try to do.  These people do not deserve to die like that.  You had a chance with your planet and you chose to destroy it.  You can choose to leave now and find peace elsewhere. Or die in these skies."  One of the five fired the weapon of mass destruction at the sun shining being.  There was a magnificent explosion in the sky that opened a hole in the overcast below.  The explosion then almost seem to vacuum into the sword the being had unsheathed.  The sword glowed all colors with the energy it consumed from the attack.  The being then seem to move like light bouncing off a mirror.  The other four had no idea their companion was already dead and falling back down to the surface. They then watched in horror as their companion seem to turn to ash before hitting the surface. It was then they decided to leave and hope to find peace elsewhere.  S-DIVERS
Watchers of the universe
Quiet mind, immersed
in palest, warmest yellow.

Molecules within
find alignment
with infinity.

Silvery mercurial fluid
paints my bones
with gentle light.

You have come back.

Abundantly, warm salt
water envelopes me.

Even in this chair,
in this empty room.

On dry land.

Hark, methinks,
Lyphe
be no
small ordeal,
but rather quite the contrary:
Lyphe
be, verily
the grandest ordeal,
don't'cha think?
I reckon 't'isn't
for the faint of Spirit.
For, were it,
nary a moment
would we be here;
now would we?"
What experience
could not be called
"profound?"

Nary a one, I reckon.
Lyphe marches on.
An Ode to the Sun

The Mark of Cain upon my every
Detail as I gaze across
The plains, and in the pain beneath
The snow I know the spring

That was -but died again- is waiting
Still, until the winter loses will
To stay, and eases grip to let the
Little things come out and play.

The Mark of Cain, the Curse of Cold,
This winter's getting far too old,
And frozen things all long for heat;
To feel that heart above them beat.

But see, the clouds are parting now,
The Heart of Sky is high, and how
Its beams, it seems, are rays of gold;
A force to melt, and even scold

That old, tenacious ghost of white
And chase it off into a night that has
Been dark as Death for months,
But now is light with Life for once.

The Mark of Cain I shed like skin,
I too have leaves that rest within.
Spring, so faint a sigh, now calls:
Heart of Sky, I feel thy pulse!
