It's not actually a flower
It's a painting of a flower
No definition beyond
The flower's we see
Out on the lawn
Merely an image
Paint fumes replaced
The charmers scent
That once
"Meaninglessly"
Drew our mates

An orchestrated opus
Of wayward heart
Galaxies of lyric-less
Wayward stars
Glimmering
From who knows
Afar
Meaningless poetry
Is all we are

Why do morning dove
Insist to sing
Meaningless songs
Birds of prey scream
Blinding beams of sunlight
Reflect off mighty seas
Blinding our eyes
Yet still we believe
What meaning has
The giant ancient trees
Majestic mountains
Purple beauties
These impressions
Of nature only define
Meaningless poetry
That beautifully rhymes

The three words that mean the world to someone

The most difficult three words you'll ever have to say
you might just stutter or whisper them

The ones you have to hype yourself up to say
be prepared cause there's no going back

The ones that make you nervous and
make you want to curl up into a ball

The three words that you probably will regret
cuz I'm fine

I tell myself I really don't need it
but I let myself slip

i

So far
Standing on a pedestal
A Monument
A Statue rock hard

Once alive
Now, turned to stone
Too proud to look down
Its eyes closed

Don’t come near
Do not try to touch
You will never reach
its marble heart

Don’t whisper in its ear
your truth
It won’t hear you
It won’t shed a tear
It won't understand

Best to just leave it alone

A beautiful memory
imprinted on your soul
Let it stand there,
far away, on its own

A Statue

Once alive
turned to stone

The chariot
Why i keep seeing the machines that make no sense
Where are their engines and what is their fuel
What is the fuel that just keeps them running
Why don’t they stop
Why don’t they think?

I don't want to be me anymore,
But I don't want to be anything.

I don't know what I'm doing anymore

Can solve all problems but one:
How to get a good night sleep?

Don’t speak
it’s easier that way
they scream
and maybe they’re right
but I just grin
like the Cheshire cat
and walk away

Let me be the pickle in your cheese and pickle sandwich,
Let me be the butter on your toast.
Let me be the dressing that you season all your food with,
Let me be the taste you love the most.

Let me be the drizzle in the lemon cake you’re baking,
Let me be your favourite type of brie.
Let me be the brandy that ignites your Christmas pudding,
Let me be the cream in your cream tea.

Let me be the sherry that you pour into your trifle,
Let me be the cherries in your bowl.
Let me be the tonic in your Tanqueray and slim-line,
Let me be the lemon lying on your Dover sole.

Let me be the doughnut that you dip into your coffee,
Let me be your toffee apple stick.
Let me be the gravy in your steak and kidney pudding,
Let me be the dish you always pick.
