Forgiveness initiates the healing process
Especially and importantly for the forgiver
Even though forgiveness might not take the pain away immediately,
Remaining in that state of forgiveness would speed up the healing faster than any drug/medicine

Free the punisher, forgive the abuser
Don't lay the blame on yourself either
The pains/regrets would try to resurface
They could even bring tears to your face
But strive to not walk out of forgiveness
Even if you can, say a word of prayer for you and the person(s) in question
That's how you hold on to your peace & freedom.

When you write my story
Ensure to title it Grace
Looking back at every lap of my race,
I will surely be an ingrate
if I don't give God the praise

How could a castaway stone
become the cornerstone
What many deemed impossible,
In my own case, more often than not,
they became feasible

But above the big accomplishments of life
I cherish the simple everyday blessings

Like the air that I breathe
The warmth of the sun as felt on my skin
The comfort of my bed when I lay on it

I'm grateful for every single hand that
I've lifted up
A blessing is now,
being in the midst of beautiful people

What is fame and wealth in the
absence of a sound health
What are accolades and awards without genuine friends and family to rejoice with

Milestones are friends turned family
Milestones are daily recorded
when life is lived with simplicity.

His light is shed abroad in our hearts
But we'll rather choose to stay in the dark
He declared His victory to be ours
But we'll still rather choose to fight
This life that I live is not mine
But why do I hold on to it tight
He's freely made all things ours
But we rely on our own power and might
He's paid the entire price
But we still act like we owe
I am the way, the truth and the life
But we'll rather listen to all the lies
It's time we embrace
and run with the true light

I was staring at my clock
As it was doing its tick tock
I was watching it do its job
And I started questioning
myself if I am doing mine.
Am I really doing my work?
Not the job I'm being paid for
But the work that I was made for.
I began to introspect, to see if
my job and my life's work intersect.
Have I given attention to everything else
And leave my purpose on the shelf?
This inanimate clock spoke to me
It said, you have all that you need
to be who you were formed to be,
It's all on the inside of you.
You just have to set your priorities
right and that is in your hands.

I can't question the validity of the question
Is there really God?
I know to some, that question sounds odd
There is someone out there who just wants to know for sure

Does God Almighty exist?
Or it's just another myth
They said He created heaven and earth, the moon, the stars and the sun

These questions burn in someone's heart
What does He look like?
How do I reach him?
Can I talk to him? Would He reply?
Does He really love us?

Of course, He loves us dearly.
Of course, He listens and talks to us clearly
He sent His Son to die for us freely
It takes faith to be His and know His ways
Jesus is the gateway to Him
His gate is always open to all!

hopelessness    ||      Hopefulness
darkness           ||          Brightness
forsaken ============== Chosen
brokenness.....  ||         Wholeness
slavery (to sin) ||               Mastery
powerlessness  ||     Powerfulness

Life's storms would rage
Some situations would roar
But those who put their trust in the Lord
They shall not fail

They might go through some pains
Like challenges and tribulations
But before them, a way would pave
And their mouths will exude songs of jubilation

I wear Your love like a garment
Beauty upon my flesh
A crown placed upon my head
A pair of shoes to my feet
Decorated from my head to my sole

Your love is protection to my being
The light that shines along my path
A lamp to my feet
My comfort in time of need
Your love is everything to me!

Sometimes it is more peaceful
choosing to not know
Like choosing to not poke into
your spouse's phone

It's safer to not ask some questions
Or to not even bother about the answer
Like why didn't God lock Satan up
in heaven or hell instead of sending
him to the Earth?

Isn't it amazing, how words can touch as if words has a flesh

Isn't it bright, how words can illuminate a dark time like a torch

Don't cage me in your expectations
of who you think I should be
I am truly me
Do away with the preconceived notions
of who you think I am
Don't try to check me against your checklist
Come to me with an open mind and heart
And experience me firsthand

Sometimes, the difference between
True and false,
Yes and No,
Good and bad,
Truth and lie...
                             Is just TIME!

On that cross,
His sweat and blood were dripping
If I was in His shoes, I would be cursing
But He did the opposite, He was praying
"Father, forgive them for they know not what they are doing"

The Son of God became sin
He died, sin died and was done with forever
The story didn't end with His death
3 days later, He was raised by the Father
And He ushered us into life eternal

We became heirs of the promises
Worthy branches of His Vine
Called to a life full of bliss
Glory to the risen King!

All she wants is an undying love
But she failed to recognize one
when it came her way
She's got a photoshopped image of love in her mind
The Hollywood type

The smooth sailing
Never bumpy
Always sunny
Two four seven glittering type

A few genuine heart has come and passed
Now, she's like a boat; crashed and sunken
Drowning in her misunderstanding of love
If only she would open her eyes and heart to see

That in love, we can disagree to agree
Mutual trust and respect are crucial things
Two beings bonded to ride through
The peaks and troughs of life

My mental state, I had to recalibrate
Now, It is boldly tattooed...
I was born to be great

The thoughts of being under,
I had to push under
I figured how to deal with my fears
I use it by burning it as a fuel

Sometimes, I have these worries
That are somewhat hard to burry
But I remind myself of the future's glory
And how all of these will someday be a story

I'm in no competition with nobody
I'm running my own race
Going at my own pace
And in my own lane

Challenges will sure come
And in different forms
From mild to severe storms
They aren't for me to suffer
But to ride on like a surfer

I will have to reach high for my goals
Go above it like a pole vault
In me, resides the courage to achieve my desires
And the enthusiasm to fulfil my dreams

Above all, Love is the master key
It opens the door to eternal peace
The major ingredient for a life of ease
A secret to a life full of bliss!

The only thing we truly have is now
You remember the past
And plan for the future
Because you have the now.
So, be grateful for the now!

The smile you see is just a curtain!
