Please beat just a few more years,
Please postpone their tears,
I won't be here to see,
But my loved ones will be.

By: Connie Hopkins
When the frost
Started biting my nose,
And the ground
Was finally covered in leaves,
You came.

And for once,
Someone lifted me up -
Not from hell to earth,
But from earth to heaven.

And for once,
No one saved me,
For I didn't need to be saved,
Nor to owe anyone for it.

And for once,
The clouds bloomed,
And I let the rain fall,
And it washed away,
All that went before.

And for once,
The world was kind enough.
silent pain in dreams
sleeping consciousness awakes
I remember you.

I’ve waited all night
clock struck twelve you didn’t come
being in love hurts

One loose Pebble could send me plummeting
And I feel an earthquake coming

Natalie
do not date a girl
who writes.
she will internalize
everything,
carve poems
into your eyelashes
instead of
kissing them,

she will analyze you,
calculate age
from the rings
your coffee cup
leaves
instead of refilling it.

she will memorize
the way your
lips curl around steam,
but not that you
take it
two sugars,
no cream.

she will read your
palm instead of
holding it
against her chest.

she will not
blink
when you leave,
because she is
already
romanticizing it.
