I’m happy
(I’m depressed)

I love myself
(I hate myself)

I can’t wait to live my life
(I can’t wait to die)

I am lucky to have my friends
(why do they even like me?)

I have a family who loves me
(and I continue to disappoint them)

I am an excellent student
(I can’t focus in school)

I want to travel the world
(will I even live to do that?)

I’m fine
(I’m not fine)

I’m perfectly okay
(please help me)
It's a dance so many enter
But few are strong enough to lead
At the end they plead
To have one more chance
And they would do it all differently
When you enter the dance
You only have a single chance
Made up of many chances
Yet this dance has an end
Some wish it would bend
But it's more than a trend
It's beyond the ability to comprehend
So many people make the wrong moves
This is what sin proves
For the wages of sin is death
But the Gift of God is eternal life
When you begin this dance
Don't waste your chance
Cause at the end of the dance
You will be judged at his hand
But you can't perform the right dance
Unless you allow him to show the prance
Me
I call out arguments
I stand for whats right
I cling to my God in the middle of the storms
Sometimes I lose my grip
I love people
Because he gave me the love
I see the lies of hypocrites
My God has shown me his grace and his wonders
He disciplines me with his very wonders
He uses me to be a voice crying out in the desert
He feeds when I am hungry
My God gave me the job of Jeremiah
I love my God
Yet while reading this you may think I have a big ego
Or I'm arrogant
I tell you this because
Out of all of this
Out of all the wonders I've seen
I'm no better than the very ones who scorn me
I've been the hypocrite
I've been the liar
I am the chief of sinners
As for the things Jesus gave me to do
That wasn't me
The only thing I ever did was make one simple choice
I made the choice to follow Jesus
He did the rest
So one day someone may ask me my story
I will look them in the eye
And say
Why ask for my story
When you can ask for his
Why ask about me
When you can ask about Jesus
To tell you about me
Is to tell you of him who made me me
I gave my life to him
And he made me new
So don't ask about me
Ask me about him
Or even better
Ask him
He was dragged to a palace where he was beaten
He was disgraced by the earth
As they scorned him
He forged them
A way
A way out of their despair
They nailed him on an old wooden cross
He could have destroyed his attackers with a thought
Yet he fought for them
He fought for you
As he was dying
He hung their
And thought of you
He fought for you
That day he broke the laws of death
He fights for you now
Every mountain you face he's ready to bring you over
He's fighting for you
They light up the sky
Like pink and purple dye
They're an open door
To new worlds and new planets
Meteors and comets
Make the world respond with rockets
Flying through the door
Like we have nothing left to poor
Their beautiful
Wonderful
Worthy of a stare
Like their's not another care
The stars are full of questions
Without answers
Are we alone in the universe?
Are we ready to leave this world
And take to the stars
Are we ready for new worlds
Beyond our imagination
Where we can do things beyond all possibility
Doesn't give his children what they want
He gives them what they need
He doesn't abandon them
He doesn't lie
He fights for his children
He helps them grow
He loves with all he has to give
God is the greatest father
You say that he's the worst father
You say all he does is mistreat his daughters
You ask how can he be a good father if your life is so bad
You just made me so sad
First off
What grounds do you have
You never called on him to be your father
You say he allows terrible things happen to the innocent
You didn't look at how he provided healing
You say all these things with looking at the entire picture
You say what you know
You never took the time to look beyond your own life
Why?
Because all you care about is you
After he saves you you'll just go back to your old ways without a thought
You'll do what I did
The truth is you don't know what you say
So I'm calling you out
Now
WHAT WILL YOU SAY!!!!!
This Poem isn't written about the father in a normal home this poem is about the ultimate Father God
