Here 'bouts we draw out the y'all
And the thank you, ma'ams
With that syrupy thick tongue
Of a southern traditional
Slow fine China sit-down with
Cloth napkins
Dinner of turnip greens tangy
Bits of ham drenched
In karo syrup
The warmest homemade soft rolls
Of course sweet tatos
Orange unique sweetness
Snap peas, too sweet-tea
Lip licking politeness
Formal
In tradition reserved
For only the white folks
Way down south
We molasses
Slow to spit out
The
Reality of
How do
Or morn'
We tend-
Us good old folk-
To live like its still
1865.
Slower still to
Want to face
It's now
2018.
It's a good day drawn on
The sunny canvas a bit
Fluffy cloud meandering
Away where cotton ball
Clouds go on a calm day
When the rain gods and thunder
Goddesses go off to
Fort Lauderdale
Or Tahiti to occasion the tropics
With storms but
Here was pleasantly warm
Enjoyable
No one needed antiperspirants
Or sweaters
And it got painted by Monet
This day did
A hundred times
All differently
A slight change of
The suns angles
The differences
In the shadows laying left or right

And how brightly stark
The sun shone early
Changed midday to
Blindingly overhead
Then reached to the edge
Of your right eye
Evening a long cast
A glimmer almost gone

Like days past.
Memories of childhood
Youth all once again.

The sun has shone
Me things
Shined for millions ages anon
Be it my
Everglow now.
Now I take her to heart.
Love stood before Loyalty her soon to be husband and a chapel full of wedding guests wearing a crown of Olive leaves, dressed in light, and holding a bouquet of pink Lilies.  Love and Loyalty looked into each other's eyes and exchanged vows.

Loyalty: "My dream of making you my wife has become a reality.  I promise to hold you in my arms and keep you safe for all eternity.  I promise to cherish you and treat you like royalty."

Love: "I've been waiting for this moment ever since my heart took it's first beat.  Like Doves flying on the winds of peace I promise to uphold this marriage above the clouds of serenity."

Surrounded by all the virtues Loyalty and Love kissed.

It was in that first moment
the first time we really talked,
i felt a soul connection
but at that time, my heart i blocked.

Do you remember that moment?
As i opened up and bared to you,
i felt such a calming peace
letting you in to see that view.

It was in that first moment
when i looked deep in your eyes,
i saw my forever “home”
i felt the sweetest of love baptize.

It was in that first moment
when you reached for my hand,
as i stepped into your arms
love overflowed, deep into the land.

It was in that first moment
when your lips touched mine in kiss,
Awwww.. the sweetest of moments
i will forever love to reminisce.

It was in that first moment
as our souls connected as one,
the world slipped out from beneath me
everything i knew became undone.

It was in that first moment…..
~

When that blood flowed green
And trees were red
Skin was bark all hard
weathered showing
The marks of hurricanes
The dearths of rain
Skies glowed orange in night
And gray each day
The lakes all turned inside
Out where blues were down
And brown silt atop
The roots of things grew up
And flowers down
Bodies dead were above ground
People like moles once did
When the sun was yellow
And not her now deathly gray
People went underground
To live
Where dirt was white and grass
Was the ceiling
And not a day was recorded since
The day the
Colours
Turned around.
