The jungle surrounds like a blanket,
A palpable being
Teeming
Suffocating

Becoming one, a being in nature
Surviving on instinct
In the thick, overwhelming wildlife
Treading deeper into the heart of darkness

Breaking through to the river
A golden glow, a haze
A magnitude so great through a narrow gaze
Enough to force a shiver

Walk along the tight rope
That stretches over the abyss
Paralyzed by possibility
And impossibly conscious

Surrounded by darkness
A complete lapse of senses
Consumed by the infinite night
Never to return to the light

Secrets told
Secrets showed
At your highest high you’ll find
Your lowest low

There's a bad moon in the sky
You're the reason why
There's clouds that block the way
Until we're together, some sunny day

I see you across
On the other side of the street
