"Carpe Diem!"
Scream at the top of my lungs
Making this my theme
Letting it roll off the tongue

Seize the day
Make it my own
No matter what they say
Let my opinion be shown

**** out the marrow
Enjoy every minute
Dodge all the arrows
Put my whole heart in it

Don't choke on the bone
Don't lose my pure motives
Keep my mind in the zone
Be sure, not just sort of

Take the bull by the horns
Wake up in reality
Or the mind will be scorned
Go against the normality

Yell back at the world
I can make my stand
Hurricane in a whirl
Of what they have planned

Do my own thing
Swim against the tide
Let my voice sing
My opinion will not hide

I will not conform
It is overrated
It may cause a storm
But my opinion shall be stated.
“I went to the woods because I wanted to live deliberately, I wanted to live deep and **** out all the marrow of life, To put to rout all that was not life and not when I had come to die Discover that I had not lived.” -Henry David Thoreau

Let's begin the journeyTo refreshing our soulsWith poetic words on paper
We take the bull by the hornsTo achieve the dreams that our parents have not dreamed for us but our own
Where we conquer each of our failures to wear the crown of our successes
Hold on tight to your roller coaster
Let not the ride of life terrify the potential that lies hidden inside
When your soul screams to be kept alive Rewrite your story with a climatic twist Before the clock stops and your heart regrets Never achieving anything
Toast to all the people who enjoyed seeing me fail, but today is a new day. No snooze button needed because my dreams kept my head ablaze and it's time I,we,seize the day.

Carpe Diem it means seize the day. Today, I'm asking her on a date. This may sound odd, who knows if I will still live tomorrow so I'm doing it today. If I won't find my own voice, no else will do it for me.

Running in circles round-and-round
Impatiently waiting until the day you're found
Why do we do this to ourselves?
Pretending we're unboxed toys lining store shelves
Waiting for the one that will open us up to add value to their life
Until that day comes, we create and dwell on constant strife
We need to let ourselves out of the box
We must stop waiting to be invited to the others' flocks
Arise from your prison, you won't regret this decision
Already in Hell, how scary could it be outside of your cell?
Seize the day, no soul can enjoy life in a truly lonesome way

We don't read and write poetry because it's cute. We read and write poetry because we are members of the human race. And the human race is filled with passion. And medicine, law, business, engineering, these are noble pursuits and necessary to sustain life.

But poetry, beauty, romance, love, these are what we stay alive for. To quote from Whitman, "O me! O life!... of the questions of these recurring; of the endless trains of the faithless... of cities filled with the foolish; what good amid these, O me, O life?"

Answer: that you are here; that life exists, and identity; that the powerful play goes on and you may contribute a verse; that the powerful play goes on and you may contribute a verse. What will your verse be?

Carpe diem
Seize the day
I know it's scary
I know it's hard

But you don't have to be alone
Don't get swallowed up
It's not your fault
Don't blame yourself

Stay strong
Be brave
You are beautiful
You are chapter that need not end yet

Carpe diem
Seize the day
Live it well
Let it ring
RIP Robin Williams
