I miss you
But I know
You feel little
About the years
We shared together.
Even my friendship
Seems incapable
Of moving you.

Maybe you're empty
A lonely soul,
Whose heart stills
For no person.
So there are
No vibrations either
That shake you
Into missing someone.

It hurts me
To misunderstand you
And your soul.
Did I fail
In all these years
To move you
To challenge you
To awaken love
As you did
Deep in my being.

It's like the cold
Creeping in
When you have no where to go for warmth.
So I comfort the ice, freezing my heart.
And I hope it'll stop the beating
That seems only to hurt me more
Now that you've left me:
With only this silence
And these breathless-missing-you-tears.
